2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20 visionthing (532) - Oslo, NORWAY - MAY 19, 2012
64cl bottle (and from cans and on tap) in Bangkok. Light golden with small white head. Light sweet malty aroma with hint of cooked vegetables. More body and flavour than classic South-East Asian lager. Higher alcohol content too, but still dangerously drinkable in the heat. Hint of alcohol is detectable in the flavour. Some bitterness in the finish. One of my pale lager favourites from this part of the world. Not a great beer, but quite drinkable pale lager.

Bottle. Really pretty clean and nice for this national lager like this. Pale yellow. Grassy corn and grain aroma and taste. Very dry and quite bitter for the type. No aftertaste. Would take it over thr majority of commercial brews to chase thai food.

Pale yellow colour with aroma hinting at maize (corn). Easy on the palate, with little or no bitterness and short aftertaste.

Had it on ice. Oh my, this is a treat. Yellow with I can only assume a white airy bubbly cap if I didn't pour in ice. Yellow straw colour. Taste is prominent corn. Straw. With a generous helping of suck. perhaps if I was drinking it in 50 degree celsius climate, it'd get some appreciation from me. Too bad I won't drink it again.

Bottle. Gold pour with a medium white head. Aromas of sweet rice, alcohol, and grass. The flavor follows; sweet, with lightly bitter grassy and adjunct notes. Really damn refreshing on a hot Thai day. [978]
