Chang was made with the vision of the top executives to expand the beer market with a Thai taste albeit with international quality, to give the consumers an alternative with the fervent belief in the brewing and production capability of the Thais. With its attractive taste and a price that appealed to consumers at all levels, the response and success of Beer Chang marked a new era and turned a new page for the Thai beer industry. In 1998 Beer Chang was awarded the “Gold Medallion” at the International Beer Competition in Australia in the category of “Lager, Unlimited Degree”. Since then, Beer Chang has become known as “the international Gold Medallion winner beer of Thailand”. Note: alcohol content may vary

Light cloudy yellow with white foam. Aroma is a light fruity hop. Taste is what us call a light lager with a sort if fruity essence. Almost has a summer ale character. Moderate palate. Unusual beer. Nothing exciting but ok. Might be better iced cold on a hot day. More beer please...

Clear pale yellow body and minimal head. Nose has malts and hay-like aromas. Taste is sweetish with a mildly dry finish and a metallic note. Carbonation and mouthfeel are medium. Basic light lager,, nothing special.

Eines der besseren Thaibiere und mit 6% auch geschmacklich etwas erwachsener und weniger wässrig. Malzig-bitter im Geschmack, leichter Reis-Nachgeschmack (aber immerhin überhaupt mal einer).

Can, 6.0%. The good old sour grain aroma. Clear golden colour. Small frothy chalk white head. The flavour is surprisingly malty and does not have much of the graininess of the aroma. Also has a little alcohol punch, but no more than expected for the ABV. Decent for the style.

Can, 6.0% @ The Unholy Trinity Meets Again, Sønderborg. Pours clear golden with small white head. Clear aroma of yeast and inferiror malt, with notes of hops. Sweetish flavour of malt and yeast, with some hoppy notes and touches of fart. Acetic hints, especially in the aftertaste, which is otherwise estery and slightly bitter. Drinkable but just that.

Clear, light golden. Fluffy white head. Grainy cereal aroma. Malty flavour with citric bitterness. Rather watery but with the bitterness turning stronger - and more rough - later on.

500ml can in Bangkok. Had a little more the Draught. Pours yellow and fizzy. Not much aroma. Good beer for the Bangkok heat.

UPDATED: FEB 18, 2015 Tried way too many times in Phuket. Pours gold with a small white head. Aroma of pale malts, rice and light hops. Sweet taste. Refreshing in the Thai heat, but that’s about it. ABV seems to vary despite always being labelled as 6.4%.

Bought a can on Langkawi, Malaysia. Decent lager, little bit sweet but not to sweet.

Şişe, istanbul. Görüntü hoş, beyaz dolgun köpük, sarı bol gazlı, kabarcıklı bir lager.. Koku zayıf, çekici değil, sadece malt.. Tadım standart, damakta kalıcı değil, ferahlatıcı susuzluk giderici..

Cans purchased in Myanmar and Thailand. Pours a clear yellowy orange. Aroma of weak malts. Usual boring taste. Yet another beer that’s OK in the heat and thats about it.
