2.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 6/20
11.15 Fl. Oz. Bottle. Poured a pale yellow, clear and with a thick white head and lots of lacing. Aroma is almost not existent, some hint of yeast (bread) and a bit of malts. Taste is also quite dull not much to it, some sweetness and slight bitterness towards the end. Just another beer made with the purpose of being a refreshing beverage in a warm weather and in that sense it does serves it’s purpose.

2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
Canned from 7/11. Lots of malt, nothing hoppy to be found. Exactly as expected, a sugarly malty beer with no complexity.

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle, 6% ABV. Sweetish, malty, tasteful, with floral estery notes. It’s crisp and yet quite robust for a southern lager. A big surprise, this is actually a decent beer.

1.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 8/20
Bottled. Pale yellow color. Malty aroma. Malty taste with no hops. Another disappointing south beer.

Bottle 33 cl.
Pours clear yellow, with diminishing white head. Smells like a malty soda pop. A tastes similarly, moderate sweet and carbonated.

1.3 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 5/20
Bottle. Light, a little bitter, short, clear, a little corn. Another cheap beer in Thailand that supposedly won a bunch of awards. I would like to know who gave these out and for what category exactly.

1.6 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 5/20
Bottle, from Thailand. Pours a clear pale straw yellow body with a small fizzy white head that was very short lived. The nose is pretty huge on the rice and is quite thin and watery with just a little cereal grain. The flavor is just as weak and watery, some light rice and Cheerio like pale maltiness. Rather sweet, it’s completely lacking in hops. Finishes fairly clean though for the rice heavy malt bill. Light bodied, watery, fizzy prickly carbonation. All the usual hallmarks of the Pale Lager genre. Pretty boring stuff, but I’ve had a lot worse is the style.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
UPDATED: JAN 29, 2014 6.0% ABV version poured from a can in Thailand. Aroma has a light graininess with some corn character. Faint sulfur and light floral esters. Not really any hop character. Fairly clean without diacetyl. Pours a very clear pale yellow gold with a moderately thick, inch tall white head that slowly recedes. Light lacing and no legs. Flavor is rather bland with quite a bit of corn character and a light, sweet graininess. Medium low bitterness with no hop flavor. Bitterness in finish is a bit harsh. Low floral ester notes and light sulfur. No diacetyl. Mouthfeel is light bodied with medium carbonation. Medium low astringency with low alcohol warmth. Overall it’s not a very enjoyable beer but it does the trick. It’s alright upfront, though a lot of adjunct but the finish is not very clean. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

@ Lanta Casuarina Beach Resort, Koh Lanta, Thailand. Flaska från lokalt hak. Ganska söt och maltig doft och smak. Alldeles för liten beska och en kort eftersmak.

1.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 3/20
500 ml can bought at 7-Eleven in Metropolis Plaza, Sheung Shui.
Piss pale golden yellow colour; Very thin head and white foam which fades in 20 seconds; Minimal lacing and some notable carbonation; Pungent smell of malt, rice, grains, corn syrup, grape juice, light lemon and thin grass; Medium sweet taste of thin malt, with strong rice, light bread, strong thinner / paint stripper, corn syrup, very light wet cardboard, light citrus and grass; Mid to light body, slightly slick palate; Taste profile is typical malt likka - strong solvent taste with obvious burning sensations, plus strong rice and corn syrups - malt taste faded into background, how nice! Booze is all about fusel, and pretty alcoholic as well. Blah! Hoppiness is light lemon and grass in nose and taste, and slight bitterness. Burning fusel finish; Slightly dry after taste, caustic and a boozy to mouth.
Comments: Having the other two Changs (Beer and Draught) previously, I didn’t hold much hope for this one and that’s exactly it - typical malt likka with loads of adjuncts and solvents. Should be popular if it was exported to America. Not for me, drain pours after half a glass.

Had a lot of those while I lived in Thailand. Taste is light but a bit boozy. A quite ok lager.
