500ml can from 7-11 @ Koh Lipe, Thailand. Foam disappears fast. What for is so many different changs? This is much more milder at all sections than normal chang.

Tap at the Pintsman, Bangkok. I’m sitting here drinking this stuff when there are much better beers on offer. Oh woe is the life of a ticker! Quite predictably, it poured a crystal clear straw colour with a frothy white head and lots of gas. The aroma is malt yeast, light hop. The the flavour is medium bitter with a dry earthy, mineral malt palate. Medium bodied with lively carbonation. Pretty bad, but no worse than Heineken or maybe Tiger.

Clear golden beer small head, malt aromas, not too much to smell. Light in palate, almost flavorless, really watery, easy to drink, the amount of alcohol is not felt.

On tap at The Harp Bar in Koh Phangan. Aroma has a medium light sweet graininess with a light hop character. Hops are mostly grassy with a hint of floral character. No diacetyl or sulfur. Pours a clear, pale golden yellow with a thick, fluffy white head that shows great retention. Medium light lacing and no legs. Flavor is similar to aroma with a slightly sweet grain character and a medium light adjunct note. Low bitterness and low grassy hop flavor with faint floral character. No diacetyl or sulfur. Mouthfeel is light bodied with medium light carbonation. Low astringency an low alcohol warmth. Overall an alright beer, but it continues the trend of fairly boring Thai lagers. The draught version doesn't seem remarkably different from the Classic version. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Sampled in a can while in Thailand. A little more malty than some of the other brews, with a normal high carbonation. Decent brew for the hot climate.

@ Lanta Casuarina Beach Resort, Koh Lanta, Thailand. Burk från 7-eleven, Koh Lanta. I doften finns hö och malt. I smaken hö och malt, ganska söt (honung). Vattnig. Liten beska, i eftersmaken finns honungen kvar. Varför finns den här varianten av Chang egentligen?

500 ml can. WH. 26707/13.
I’m not sure if that’s "Canned on" or "Best by" date. From Thailand. Thanks MPEH!

Clear pale golden colour with a tiny white head. Green apple, mild mushroom and malt in a weak aroma. The flavour is very weak. Some malt... maybe? Really weak flavour. Extremely easy to drink but I guess that’s the point... No flavour to disturb the enjoyment.

Chang Draught, on tap in Dubliners in Bangkok watching the rugby. Utterly forgettable. Actually maybe a bit cleaner (read tasteless) than the basic Chang, less of the Chang tang so I guess in this case tasteless is good...

500 ml silver can bought at 7-Eleven in Metropolis Plaza, Sheung Shui.

One and half finger head and soapy white foam which lasts for 40 seconds; Slight sticky lacing and notable small carbonation; Very faint smell of thin malt, with trace of rice, corn and nothing else; Low to minimal sweet taste of malt hint, with barely detectable notes of grains, soggy bread, and grass; Light body, watery palate; Mouth feel is 100% beer-water, malt taste is negligible, so are the adjuncts and hops. Nearly tasteless, like a glass of water; Hoppiness has nothing to write about as citrus and hops nose taste and feel are next to none; Wet after taste, very easy to mouth just like water.

Comments: The moment I tasted it, the words ‘crappy happoshu’ instantly came to mind. Better, it has the feel of those tasteless “Drafts” by Abashiri, only slightly tastier. Don’t believe a word about ‘Draught’ or ‘Export’ being slapped onto the can. A fine example of drain pours, this is fxxking shit!

Big bottle at a bar, did the ol’ head-to-head taste test with the Chang Export, liked that more but this certainly had more flavour, just not the kind I care to come across. If your grandma was a big fan of eggs and had bowel problems, and for some reason the smell gives you good memories of childhood, then you’ll probably like this one. Metal too. Not as bad as the Classic, at least. Um what else. Carbonation is pretty low in these Changs, I’ve noticed.
