2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle (250ml). At Smokeless Joe, shared with jerc. Slightly hazy amber pour, nondescript white head. What can I say? This smells like slightly yeasty, very sugary apricot marmelade - the aroma is more pleasantly tangy than the flavour, which is cloying sweet, and the apricot seems less real. Sticky, candyish, syrupy fairly flat mouthfeel - if you need a sugar fix, this is your drink.

2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Bottle: Cloudy darker gold, short white head. Strange aroma of cheddar, dust and rotting fruit. Sweetish apricot notes, but more just brown sugar and balsamic vinegar. Not good.

2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Bottled 25 cl (BB 10/2007)
Golden color, not much head. Sourish, sugary fruity nose, not sure if it is apricot or what. Sugary sweet, slightly earthy and acidy, hints of apricot and honey. Too sweet but not so overly sweet than Chapeau’s mirabelle or banana.

2.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Bottle. Pours a hazy copper gold color with a minimal white head. Aroma of fruit, sugar, and sour notes. Flavor is sweet, fruity, carbonated, overly sweet, with a tart sour finish. I am not a fan of this style but that might be because i haven’t sampled a good lambic yet. However it was drinkable, and not a dumper, but id never purchase another.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
UPDATED: MAY 17, 2006 Bottle. Imported from Belgium. Orange copper color, minimal head. Dried apricot aroma. Very sweet, dry flavor, not even a hint of malt or hop profile. Surprised at the low rating, I liked this a lot, though a bit weak. Wife remarked on how it tasted like new wine. I will have to venture further into the world of lambic.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Well, if you are looking for sweet, you have found the right beer. A little fake and a little too sugary for me.

2.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
served at dancing ganesha.
Sweet artifical candied fruits & candied sugars dominate the aroma. An orangish pour w/ a rocky white head. Palate is slightly fizzy and blah. Flavor is way over sweet someone spilled bad sugar in the batch.
Just not good.

1.7 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20
Bottled. Way too sweet, way too artificial. I’m sorry, no real describing or feeling rating this time.

1.8 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 5/20
Note: Sampled while suffering a severe SMS syndrome. (Single-Malt Scotch)
First impression was a startlingly sweet artificiality in the aroma. Like those horrific sugared dried fruit bits that taste mostly like preservatives. Not a bad looking pour...The flavor was really putridly sweet and fake. I KNEW it couldn’t have been the tumbler of Scotch on an empty stomach that made me pass out!

1.8 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
Crimeny, but this was sweet - and not really in a good way. It looked okay, a hazy orange-yellow with a frothy white head. It smelled like candy that the confectioner imagined might be what apricot tasted like, except that he had never had one before. The flavor was a heavily sugared fruit-like thing, way too sweet. It had a sugary finish, and I was glad it was over.
