Apricot jam aroma. Extremely sweet and artificial flavour. Another terrible fruit beer from De Troch.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
It was on the edge a bit rotten, like most other beers from Chapeau! This was an average experience. And very sweet.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
There is less of the sour bite to this than some of the other Chapeau, but it's there just enough to cut through the honeyed, mead like sweetness. Apricot, yes - but more honey than anything else. Tastetastic!

1.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
Bottled. Hazy gold, poor head moderate condition. Sweetened lambic nose with little trace of apricot, yeast sediment provides some musty illusions of cobwebbed halls full of giant oaken vats. Oversweet in the mouth with a fruity apricot and apple flavour. Slight lambic note returns in the aftertaste.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Slight apricot nose and taste. I thought this could have used a little more gusto in the fruit department. More sugary than anything.

2.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
Seedy, pitty nose and taste. Dry acidic start and aftertaste. What apricot taste that lands in the middle seems fake.

1.5 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 5/20
Head is initially small, fizzy, white, fully diminishing. Body is hazy
orange, dense tiny and small particles. Aroma is moderately yeasty
(mold), lightly malty (toasted grain), with notes of apricot and peach.
Flavor is heavily sweet, lightly acidic. Finish is moderately sweet,
lightly acidic. Medium body, watery (almost syrupy) texture, lively
carbonation. Disgustingly sweet, moldy aroma (the fruit scent is ok).

2.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Peachy amber hazy colour with a sub-mm wisp of a white head. The initial aroma is that of ’first attempts at making home made white wine’ before an unripe peach hint wafts past. Light sour start and then finally some unripened apricot flavour arrives along with some light sweetness. Clean soft dry finish. Uninspiring!

2.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Clear deep amber in color, the head a greyish white, minimal lace, nose is sweet ripe apricots, the front sweet to the max, the top thin, the finish is lightly sour, lightly acidic, somewhat dry, not something I care for.
