It was indeed a clear golden yellow with no head, but the bottle we had seemed to have a few alien chunks strewn about. Aroma is indeed knock you over candy banana, but the flavor is just far too chemical and wierd to be pleasant. Do they sell enough of this to first-timers to stay in business? I must admit that it was NOT a drain pour as I had expected. I just don’t think that I ever need to try this again. dwyerpg (2529), Las Vegas, Nevada, USA

Reaaly the taste has a little more authentic banana than I thought, but it still mostly comes off artificial. I really hate artificial banana anything. | 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Jul 4, 2006 Aroma is all overripe banana. Almost no head or bubbles whatsoever. Flavour is as intensely sweet as (and not completely dissimilar to) concentrated apple juice. With a generous slug of sugar-sprinkled bananas, of course. The wheat and lambic do provide some balancing acidity, but the best thing about this beer is the tiny black twigs floating in it(pips?). Full marks for them. saxo (3575), Højbjerg, Aarhus, Denmark

| 1.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 6/20 | Jun 5, 2006 Bottle of Elisa’s (as a joke, because everyone think’s it’s funny that I noted banana arom in some of my early ratings), at t’brugs beertje. Aroma of runts banana candy and a little lambic sourness. looks clear with a little champagne amber, bubbling center. flavor is sour acidic banana. cloying sweet candy palate plus acetic. to top it all off she had me buy one at beer mania too because the whole banana thing is so hilarious. Something about me it seems, attracts lasting banana jokes - my first guitar took the nickname banana which I couldn’t get rid of until I sold it... TBone (6741), Pori, Finland

Golden apple color, not much head. Strong aroma of overaged bananas. Sugary sweetness with some soutrness and banana flavor. About what you could think this is (banana flavoured sugary drink). smcd (366), USA

I have been convinced that De Troch does offer some fine products -- some even come under the Chapeau label ... but this wasn’t one. Over-ripe bananas. That’s all folks. stegosaurus (1882), Levittown, Pennsylvania, USA

Pours golden with a tiny white head, aroma of atrificial bananas, and sugar. Although it is smooth, it is way to sweet and unenjoyable, nothing good here.
