The flavor was great candied banana. The aroma was banan laffy taffy, i kept coming back and smelling the bottle after it was gone. Very interesting beer. Can’t wait to break open the bottle of plum! A taste of bananas and a lot of sugar. A bit to sweet. (Bottle 25cl) YourDarkLord (1800), Urbana, Illinois, USA
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Jul 25, 2005 Beer buddy, Phil, calls from his travels to tell me what he finds and if I want some. This sounded interesting. Banana lambic. Well, I like bananas, so why not. This was pricy but could be worth it. Guess again. It poured a cloudy yellow with almost no head. The aroma was definitely bananas. Well, not so much real bananas as banana flavoring. The flavor was sweet and, surprisingly, had little banana to it. Some said it tasted like Mountain Dew. I didn’t get that, other than it was sweet. Shouldn’t be surprised. Chapeau has failed to impress.

| 1.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 7/20 | Jul 11, 2005 Weird yellow and orange body. The aroma is bananas and sour apples. There is also an offensive wet dog character. The banana taste is rotten with some lemon meringue. There is also a little hay in the finish. Wow. sayravai (3729), Helsinki, Finland

Sweet, slightly sour banana aroma. Very sweet banana flavor with an inch of sourness. Light to medium-bodied, ultra-sweet and sugary palate with low carbonation. A dessert drink for banana lovers. The flavor is strongly banana and there is very little head but it last. (Näyttää vähän Pommacilta.) Tickles nicely behind the upper teeth. Perhaps not a very traditional "beer taste" but I?ve already had a retry and I like it. The taste dos not have so much banana as the aroma did. A picnic beer. It says on the label that there is 20% banana in the beer.
