May 12, 2009 Bottle. A hazy, golden-orange beer with a small, white head. A slightly funky, sourish nose with banana dominating. The flavor is also citrusy and slightly sourish and funky, with ripe banana the most evident. Slightly stingingly sour mouthfeel. Short finish. A really strange one, or at least unusual. Refreshing, quenching and sort of nice. I expected a banana lambic to be a horrible idea, but it works. In a way. On the sweet side though, without it being just sweet. (090430)

May 4, 2009 Bottle. Golden hazy body with a thin white lacing. Wheat sweet banana, hints of apple and overly sweet. I poured most for fear of a diabetic coma.

Pours cloudy golden with no head.
The aroma is dominated by sweet banana with notes of yeast and apple.
Flavour is sweet ripe banana and apple.
Very special and to sweet but not that bad.

Mar 21, 2009 Bottle. Pours a gold with a thin head. Aromas are bananas and maybe cloves. Flavor is not at all good. Bananas with cloying apple juice concentrate backdrop. Bleh!

Mar 21, 2009 Bottle thanks to MrBunn.Strong aroma of bananas and cloves.Pours a dark yellow with a head that disappears instantly. YUCK! the taste is a cloying nastiness that should not be experienced by anyone. Notes of..........bananas...and .........crap. So sweet I cant get past it.

Mar 19, 2009 Sampled at Zythos 2009. Pale gold, thick lasting beige head. Well it smells of bananas which is a start. Startlingly sweet. Not as bad as I thought. Some attempt at a bit of sourness.

Mar 19, 2009 Very impressive. Sticky under the cap, looks like the cork is slowly rising. Hell, stuff is coming out of the top of the cork as I write this. Nice full pop, doesn’t gush, things are looking good. Green banana stem aroma. Tastes sweet like dried banana candy and delightfully effervescent. Juicy midpalate, nectar sweetness disappears to reveal a tart character in the finish.

Mar 12, 2009 Consumed at Zythos, St Niklaas, Belgium, 08-03-09 This came courtesy of Ian and Mes who were on a Brouwerij De Troch tasting mission, cheers lads. Pours clear lemony yellow with a white head. Aroma is of sour green unripe bananas (so thats a good start) But there was just a hint of sacchrinne in the background, in fairness this wasn’t really intruding too much. Sweet and yet a bit tangy and big banana from the off, touch sticky. Not my favourite but not as bad as I was expecting. A5 A4 F4 P3 OV08 2.4
