Bottled. Golden/copper colour, almost no head. Banana and fir needle aroma. Very, very sweet. Taste includes banana, cork, fir needle. Almost no tartness, cloyingly sweet. Normally, I hate weizen mixed with banana juice, but now I´d say it´s better than this.

Banana and citrus in the aroma. Thin. Sweet and a bit sour. Strong banana taste Very sweet, a bit artificial, but with a decent lambic as a basis. Quite different thats for sure.

Before opening the bottle, I was doubtful: a Lambic can taste awful, matching fruits with beer is not always successful, and banana taste and smell can be quite sickenig. But I was wrong on this one : no head, pale yellow body, not fizzy at all, but nice to drink. But here is the catch : it shouldn’t be called a beer at all ! Call it a summer drink; a shandy, a fruit drink, but not a beer ! Other wise nice drinking, but I shouldn’t be rating this one on a beer site.

Bought in the bottle from the excellent "Beers of Europe" shop near Kings Lynn. Quite a nice Bananary flavour but way too sweet. A bit like drinking a fizzy banana Smoothy with extra sugar. Pretty weak in alcohol, couldn’t really tell it was beer at all

Bottled. Pale yellow with big fizzed head. Well I suppose you ask for it when you buy this one, overwhelming sickly sweet banana flavour, yuk.

Consumed in a Chapeau Lambic De Troch glass, festooned with a cornucopia of fruit, cherry, raspberry, apricot, peach, pineapple, and, yes, banana. But they left out lemon and plum! Clear, pale banana-peel yellow color, with a fine, fluffy, fizzy snow-white head. Aroma is full of banana flavor, with a decent helping of sour notes right up front. Sweet and sour, hand and hand, side by side, fast friends, despite vast diffences. How do they do it, these two chums? There’s a certain candyish element to the overall profile, and perhaps that’s what helps them stick together, those stalwart pals. Spritzy, soda-ish carbonation hits the palate. Notes of lemon find their way into the profile and persists throughout. Body is light, alcohol low, elements we often try discern and dissect in beer are minimal and invisible. But this is a different creation, and should be judged and considered as such. It’s a dessert beer, looked at as you would a sweet liquouer, like Grand Marnier, or one of those ice cream drinks everyone has to have after they dine at a steak house (Grasshopper, Pink Squirrel). They’re cute, fun, and meant to be sipped and savored slowly while digesting, burping, discussing world events and personal pet peeves, all those things you do after dinner. What this uniquely flavored lambic may lack, it makes up for with flavor and texture. So I like it, crucify me!

Why? Why did I even bother buying this? Oohhh! Banana lambic! Wow! That sounds wierd! I’ve gotta try that! Sad mistake. Tastes like banana candy.
