Yipes!!!!! Uncannily smelt and tasted like those banana shaped lollies i always had when i was a kid. Very artificial lolly flavour, very sweet aswell, one of those rare unfinishable brews. i’ll give it a couple of extra points to it for reminding me of my childhood.

Clear gold with no head to speak of. Light sour gueuze yeast and stronger artificial banana aromas. Somehow these two don’t really work for me. Flavours include, candy/lollipops, lime soda and the artificial banana aroma again. Banana canwork with beer (as in Banana Bread Beer) but in this beer it doesn’t.

Proving that not all belgian beer is good and more importantly proving that not all lambic is good. Skip this factory made crap and drink the real stuff.

Lots of bananas, very sweet. An artificial beer for me.

UPDATED: JUN 2, 2006 This beer rocks.
The color is pure Gold. The nose is acrid and fruity. The flavor is of ripe bananas. Slightly pungent as well. Not one of my favorite fruit beers, but then bananas aren’t one of my favorite fruits. A little on the sweet side, but definitely worth a try.
2.4 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 crdic (105) - California, USA - JUL 2, 2002
Definitely a banana lambic, though I had hoped it would be better. It actually isn’t too bad, but there is a nasty quality to its aroma that puts me off, a sort of stale, sour feeling. The taste is somewhat better, with the banana showing more clearly; it’s an interesting combination of sweetness and sourness, more complex than I expected. This is one of those drinks that makes me want a better one of the same kind, because I can tell the idea has promise even though this isn’t a good example.

Rather flat and not all that much banana flavor. This is an odd one because it’s so very sweet. It’s a bit like drinking juice. Reading the harsh ratings, I see such vitriol and I wonder what it is about fruit-flavor beers (with the exception of quelque chose) that gets people so aggravated?!

Clear amber in color, the head which is off white vanishes quickly, minimal lace. Nose is that of an over ripe banana, sweet, the front is extraordinarily sweet, the top thin, the finish is dry, lightly carbonated, light trace of hops. ’WHOA NELLIE’, this is a desert beer, way to sweet for this olde Belgian Ale guy. I know Lambic should be sweet and sour, but the last two I tried were to the extremes of ’Sour’, now ’Sweet’. Many better Lambics out there I’m sure.
