My wife hates beer but is developing a love for lambics so I go out of my way to find new and interesting varieties that she can enjoy and I can try. This one was kind of a clear golden color with no head. Aroma is sweet with lots of banana and sugary candy scents. Taste was not that bad, but I couldn’t take too much of this. About a shot worth is all I can stomach. The wife liked it though.....

LCBO bottle tasting-Pours sparkling light yellow with a thin fizzy white head that diminishes quickly. Funky banana aroma, barnyard, mixed tropical fruits and a touch of yeast. The flavour profile is pretty sweet banana, with some other fruity components, sugary syrup, yeasty funk and a touch of hoppy sharpness. FInishes fizzy and acidic, sweet as hell. One per week is my max.

(Bottle) Pours light amber. Sweet and artificial banana aroma. Sweet flavour with apple juice and bananas. Some vinegar and a tiny hint of sourness. Light body. My first and last banana lambic.

12oz bottle from Countryside Liquors (Tampa, FL). Pours a generally clear apple juice colored golden yellow with no head. Aroma is sour and malty with notes of apple cider vinegar, yeast, bread, some slight banana notes. Flavor is sweet and syrupy with notes of apples and apple cider, overripe bananas, fresh ripe fruit, some yeast. Generally light to medium body with a syrupy sweet finish.

Bottle. Pours a gold with a thin head. Aromas are bananas and maybe cloves. Flavor is not at all good. Bananas with cloying apple juice concentrate backdrop. Bleh!

Bottle. Clear straw color with a ring of white soapy head at the edges. A banana aroma, but more like banana candy. Not sour by any stretch, but the taste is super-sweet and the banana flavor comes out more in the finish. A neat, different concoction, but don’t expect a traditional lambic.

Bottle at The Fat Cat Norwich 25 Sep 2006.Pale golden coloured. No head. Strange aroma of mustard. Tons of sugar and banana flavour all the way. Extremely sweet. A beer? No.
