It was indeed a clear golden yellow with no head, but the bottle we had seemed to have a few alien chunks strewn about. Aroma is indeed knock you over candy banana, but the flavor is just far too chemical and wierd to be pleasant. Do they sell enough of this to first-timers to stay in business? I must admit that it was NOT a drain pour as I had expected. I just don’t think that I ever need to try this again. skortila (2915), Bunnik, Netherlands

He came up with this one with the question if i was completely certain about my choice. I was. What a sensation, I will never forget this horrible beer. Still 5 bonus points for orginality. | 1.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 1/5 | 2/20 | Oct 16, 2006 Lightly golden body under a low level head. Aroma of mustard and banana. Dried and ripe banana taste. Very sweet - in fact, too sweet (bottle sampled with Finn at The Fat Cat in Norwich 25.09.2006). DougShoemaker (2856), Toronto, Canada
| 1.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 3/10 | 1/5 | 3/20 | Mar 5, 2004 Artificial banana aroma, hazy amber, next to nil head. Some mild fruit flavour, like a banana popsicle. Sweet, cloying, hard to finish. austinpowers (2828), New York, New York, USA
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Jun 26, 2002 Rather flat and not all that much banana flavor. This is an odd one because it’s so very sweet. It’s a bit like drinking juice. Reading the harsh ratings, I see such vitriol and I wonder what it is about fruit-flavor beers (with the exception of quelque chose) that gets people so aggravated?! | 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Jul 4, 2006 Aroma is all overripe banana. Almost no head or bubbles whatsoever. Flavour is as intensely sweet as (and not completely dissimilar to) concentrated apple juice. With a generous slug of sugar-sprinkled bananas, of course. The wheat and lambic do provide some balancing acidity, but the best thing about this beer is the tiny black twigs floating in it(pips?). Full marks for them. | 1.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 7/20 | Apr 6, 2007 Bottle; Nose of banana and lite funk; hazy light amber, small offwhite head; flavor of sweet banana with a slight amount of funky tartness, but stiil too sweet like their others I’ve tried, maybe this is supposed to be a banana hefeweisen/lambic.
