Bottle purchased at Champane’s in Warren. Clear yellow pour with a thin white head. Aroma of malt, sour yeast and sour fruit. Sweet malt and pineapple flavor with a sugary sweet finish.

One of those weird sweetened lambics in this range, this one with pineapple, since 1993. Yellow colour, strange flavour combining suppressed lambic character, just a faint funkiness, with an overwhelmingly sweet and artificial, cloying pineapple juice and extract. Not for me but I do understand De Troch had to come up with something like this in order to survive.

Niets voor mij, te kunstmatige smaak zoals nog andere van hun bieren. Jammer maar dit drink ik niet meer.

25cl bottle thanks to allmyvinyl. Appearance - golden with a slight oily haze and a head that disappears quite quickly. Nose - overripe pineapple and a wood tannin edge but not huge. Taste - pineapple with dessicated coconut from the oak barrel. Palate - light to medium bodied with sweet texture and a sweet and uninteresting finish. Overall - so coconuty! Not very inspiring.

250ml bottle from Beers of Europe. Pours clear gold, thin, short-lived white head. Aromas of pineapple and sugar. Taste is coconut, sweet. Nope.

Bottle. Clear pale gold pour with a few bubbles of white foam. Aroma of solvent, fake pineapple (the fake aroma you would get from pineapple toilet deodorant, not that that actually exists), chalk, rancid butter. Taste is pretty frickin bad, solventy, horrible crap, vomit, chalk, paint, uggghhhh. Take it away now! Banana’s arch rival.

Bottle (250 ml). Shared by JulienHuxley, thanks! Slightly hazy yellow/golden with a light ring of white foam and little lacing. Aroma is buttery with arfiticial pineapple, solvent and rotten notes. Taste is also buttery and sugary/sweet with sticky solvent and an artificial something that doesn’t taste like fruit at all. Light body. Low carbonation/flat. Sirupy mouthfeel. The only positive thing I have to say about this one is that it might be as good if not a little better than Chapeau Banana.

gold color; pineapple and oak aroma; very sweet with lots of sugary, artificial pineapple flavor; the oak is more in the aroma; I had been hoping for something more sour; too sweet for me

pineapple in aroma? yes, and sugar, a lot of sugar; pale yellow, almost no foam; a lot of sweetness and not much else; light body but not watery, more like syrup, thick and sticky, long sweet finish; Overall: way too sweet
