(Bottle, 0.25 l, 20120704, courtesy of FatPhil) The beer poured golden and a bit hazy. Its head was medium sized with medium carbonation. Aroma had coconut and pineapple that was wrapped in plastic. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were pineapple, coconut, sweetness, more sweetness and very low bitterness. Aftertaste was sweet. Yucky sweet mess.

250ml bottle. Clear golden color. Pineapple, mint, sweetness of dried bananas in aroma. Almond, metallic pineapples, fat in flavor. Very complex beer.

250ml bottle (?)
Fatty pineaple cakes. Sticky coconut squares. Mint. Is there no end to the fucked up impressions the aroma will give you!?!? Amazingly, the taste has all of that, if anything more so. I have to say it again - fatty cakes, coconut, and mint. WTFingF?!!?! Nicely sharp, but outragiously sweet too. This is surreal, but strangely drinkable. I really shouldn’t like it. Brett was dead...

BigBeer45 (1131) - Michigan, USA - JUN 3, 2012
Bottle from Champanes, this ale had a clear yellow-orange pour with a few particles floating in the glass, the pour did not make a full covering for a head, it was more of thick ring in the glass (swirling the glass did make the cover thicker and fuller), the effervescence is light in the glass, no center stream of bubbles, more of a few bubbles flowing here and there, and it left some spots of lacing on the glass but nothing special in the presentation, this drink had aromas of fresh pineapple, pineapple juice and pineapple fruit sweetness, very faint if any tartness and funk, the pineapple was potent enough that I could not smell the base lambic beer or wood, the flavors were pineapple, pineapple sweetness, and something else I cannot put my finger on, maybe the lambic beer?, there was a hint of tartness after the finish but it was barely detectable, the mouth feel was light on the palate, the pineapple was a little interesting but it was too sweet in flavor, it tasted like a wine cooler or a fruit drink, my wife enjoyed this drink more than I did.

Innocent enough looking 25cl bottle pours clear gold with nano second long white head. The aroma is big and bruising and doesn’t mince words as it pummels with nail polish remover, pineapple and spicy wood notes. At this point I’m really thinking hard if I want to taste something that smells this bad. Whoa this smells big strange. Ok, here goes. The taste… well it hits with bold sweet pineapple followed by a bit of chemically off notes , odd yeastiness and then some sort of pineapple like tartness around the edges. This is something else. Really sweet and pineapple-y but thankfully doesn’t actually taste as bad as it smells. I love odd smelling beers but not really in this way.

25cl, BB 01/07/2012.

Aroma of sticky sweet and artificial pineapple and wet wood. Flavor is the same. Sweet and just not right. Thanks to storminorman. Or no thanks?

Originally rated June 2005. Best before date: 25/03/07. Golden-amber colour with slight haze. Not much of a head, no lacing. The aroma is heavy with pineapple, mixed in with sour vinegar in the background. The taste starts off very sweet, turns sour in the middle and then balances out both flavours. The pineapple juice they use in this one is what stays in the aftertaste. Tarty mouthfeel. More like juice then a lambic, but still a decent brew.
