2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 harrisoni (10070) - Ashford, Kent, ENGLAND - AUG 11, 2009
25cl bottle from Dranken Geers. It’s a pineappley alco poppy beer. Nothing wrong with it. Maybe a little sweet. But hell I’d drink this over an infected crap bitter. Nothing wrong with these fruit things. Damn I’m thirsty tonight. Lasted maybe 3 minutes.
2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20 yngwie (9188) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - MAY 27, 2008
Bottle, courtesy of fonefan. Clear, golden beer with a small white head. The aroma is like the name suggests, exotic fruits and some lambic. Citric, slightly barnyard-ish, with notes of mint and cherry. The flavor has some mint up front, then sweetis fruits, almost overripe pineapple, white sugar and a little lambic flavor comes through. Sticky, thin mouthfeel and pineapple finish. Not really my beer, way too sticky, but interesting sampling it. (080412)
2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 thewolf (8625) - Kolding, DENMARK - SEP 21, 2008
Bottle, bought @ Haus der 131 Biere.
Pours pale golden with a small, fizzy, white head. Aroma is pure wine gums, some pineapple, citrus. Rather sweet. High carbonation, a bit weak mouthfeel. Flavour is sweet, lots of pineapple, wine gums, sugary sweetness. As lb4lb said it, it is not offensive, it is just more like a soda than a beer.
1.8 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20 Maria (8576) - Thisted, DENMARK - APR 15, 2008
Tasting my place. Courtesy of Fonefan. Warm golden and the aroma has notes of sherry barrel, fruit, mostly pineapple. The flavour has sweetness, notes of sherry barrel, fruit and overripe pineapple, a hint of passion fruit and in the finish a bit of apple. It’s quite weird, and not very enjoyable.
2.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 bierkoning (8099) - La Tropica, NETHERLANDS - AUG 1, 2002
Overwhelming aroma of sweet pineapples. Very, very sweet and sour taste. A decent lambic is used, but is extremely over powered by pineapple, pineapple and more pineapple.. O.K. for sweet tooths and lambic beginners. Too much for me!
2.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 7/20 hopscotch (7526) - Vero Beach, Florida, USA - OCT 9, 2006
Bottle... Cloudy golden ale with lots of sediment. No real head. The aroma is a blend of funk, sweet pineapple and overripe banana; also some coconut which gives it a Piña Colada nose. Cloyingly sweet, fruity flavor. Medium to full-bodied and almost syrupy with very little carbonation. Sweet, fruity finish.
1.1 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 4/20 imdownthepub (7473) - Banbury, Oxfordshire, ENGLAND - NOV 3, 2004
Bottled. Pale orange with short head, hazed. False cosmetic flavours dominate this unlikely mixture. Sweet, cloying, clingy and cheap. Pineapple is better from the fruitbowl.
1 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 3/20 Bov (7354) - Bienne, SWITZERLAND - JAN 29, 2002
pale orange colour, almost no head, deep disgusting aroma of vinegar, 5 months old bananas and pineapple, bubble-gum, extremly sweet and reluctant - not for human consumption
