Bottle. Appearance of apple juice, with a thin white film of a head. Sweet candyish pineapple aroma with hints of lambic and sweat socks. Candy fruit up front, a bizarre middle with tart fruity sourness giving way to more sugary fruit and pineapple in the finish. Thin saccharine palate. A bizarre concoction.

Bottle at the source, courtesy of Joey from Malaysia, thank you ma’am! Looks like beer and tastes like pineapple soda.

Bottle 250ml
Appearance: bright golden with hint of amber, large white creamy top mid lace shown.3+
Nose: aroma of pineapple and other citrus with sugary syrupy sweetness. Some strange burnt rubbery top. Where is the freshness of pineapple?
Flavor/Palate : Thin yet with full out super sweet syrupy sweetness flavored what some might consider pear and pineapple. Very brief grapefruit sourness is drowned in sea of sugar. If you like flavored sodas you might like this one.

I can easily understand why raters can say they don’t like this, believe me. But what I don’t understand is how they can honestly claim it looks bad. Sparkling golden in color with laid-back carbonation, it sports a tall, creamy white head. What about that cries out for a "1" rating?
Be that as it may, I find the aroma to be... interesting, sweet and fruity with a powdery, floral, pollen-like topping.
After that, things fall apart pretty quickly. It’s rather like drinking the syrup from a can of Dole’s sliced pineapples with a squirt of tonic added. Sweetened pineapple juice with pollen. Fascinating.
The sticky sweet finish that attracts insects makes it that much more fun.

Ernest (5183) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - SEP 18, 2002
Virtually no head. Body is hazy dark yellow, dense particles of all sizes. Aroma is lightly yeasty (mold), with notes of sugar/taffy and assorted tropical fruits (banana, pineapple, mango, etc.). Flavor is heavily sweet, lightly acidic. Finish is lightly sweet, lightly acidic. Light to medium body, watery (almost syrupy) texture, lively carbonation. Disgustingly sweet, artificial aroma.

Pineapple aroma with some coconut notes. Very artificial and very sweet flavour of pineapple and other exotic fruits.

UPDATED: JUN 23, 2009 Bottle. Pineapple-orange syrup aroma (like the pineapple topping on a sundae or banana split) with a hint of vinegar. Cloudy orange-yellow color with thin film of a head. Super sweet pineapple flavor with moderate sour vinegar flavor - not a good combo. Probably the most beautiful sites in Belgium are the majestic pineapple fields.

This lambic fruit pours a slightly hazy orange gold color from a corked and capped 12oz bottle. Small sized white foamy head. Aroma is pineapple juice, banana, some fruit and then some more pineapple. There may be a touch of tartness as well. A medium bodied fruit lambic. There are lots and lots of medium to low-grade pineapple juice flavor, which is kind of sweet tasting. There is some funk and tartness at the back of the taste, you just need to wait for all that pineapple juice flavor to go away, which can take awhile. The second sip was way better than the first. Interesting beer, glad I tried it but not sure I would want to drink this one too often. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is very sweet.
