Bottle: Pours a dark brown color with a nice little head. The nose is sweet and fruity with a funky rotten wood note. The flavor is sweet with a balancing sweetness along with some bright wood notes and chewy caramel. Big finish and nearly a bit cloying. Not high expectations of Chapeau, but it’s pretty good. Now on to the geueuze!

Warning! Early amateur rating! Sweet generic fruit offset by slight vinegary and acid notes. Nice.

Hazy brown coloured beer with smal white head and only few carbonation visible. Fruity sweet aroma with a sour touch. Full slight sparkling palate. Finish is sweet fruity and sour.

12.7 oz bottle pours transparent brown with quickly fading off white head. Aroma is cider vinegar, caramel, sour, and cherries. Taste is very sweet, not what I expected from aroma, sugary, tart apple, wood, cherries, and slight sourness on finish. My first Faro, very nice.

Bottle 25 cl from Bier-Bienne (CH). Dark beer with fleeting foam and beaded low. Nose of apple, cider, syrup, woody and sulphur notes. The mouth is perfumed, very sweet, with apple and cereals. The acidity is generously coated with candy. A little sticky and balsamic notes.

Pours a beautiful, clear, light reddish with little head and carbonation. Aroma is hard to describe, almost like the beer is slightly off/past its due date. Taste starts off very sweet at the front of the mouth, and stays there. I can’t really detect any malty or hoppy taste, it almost seems like fruit. Hmmm.
