Poured a light hazy brownish orange with no head. Main aroma and tastes of strawberries (not overpowering). Sweet. A nice, light dessert beer.

Very dirty brown-red beer; gushing from the bottle to form a rim of white bubbles. Strawberries as in jam of -, bit woody, wet cardboard make out the nose. Imagine strawberry jam being dissolved into soda water, lemon juice, a shot of sweetish ale and, as Tim says, a shot of yoghurt. Well - that’s Chapeau fraises for you. Medium bodied, quite some acids. I’m surprising myself. This isn’t even bad. Compared to some other fruit concoctions popping up left and right...

Bottle. Pours with a clear orange-amber body with a small white head. Aroma of strawberry preserves, wood shavings, attic, dust and leather. Taste is leather, lightly tart, strawberries, horse hair, corn syrup. Fizzy.

250ml bottle (BelgianShop)
Hazy strawberry colour, tiny head. Tar, bacon and sweet gherkin aroma. Flavour darts all over the place - one minute it’s strawberries and cream; next it’s sweet salty gherkins; next it’s smoky meat. It actually made me laugh out loud it was so unusual, unexpected, and to be frank just plain bizarre. Palate is a pleasantly sharp lambic sourness, and there’s also a simply wheaty body behind it too.

Pours red with a noticably pronounced pink head into the Belle Vue glass I sampled this in. Smells of strawberry puree, some tarte hints and lambicy elements that were there but definitely not pronounced. Tastes of strawberries with an underlying sourness and some dry tarte lambicy qualities. More interesting than I thought it would be. Thanks to dragonstout for this sample.

Pours dark pinkish, with a pink head. Huge aroma of strawberries, some malt. Tastes like strawberries, with sweetness and a little malt at the finish. A little too sweet for my taste, but a very interesting brew nonetheless.

Bottle from Knightly Spirits in Orlando. Slightly cloudy reddish/yellowish color. With a foamy whitish head. Aroma is strawberries and funky. I smell wood and farmy or earthy smells. Flavor is sweet with strawberries and a bit tart. Not syrupy at all. Not my favorite but not awful by any means.

Bottled. I must’ve shaken this up something fierce.. poured a deep, murky, opaque ruddy brown with a tall cap of pink-tinted darker beige head. The aroma picked up dated, but not-yet-spoiled strawberry sweetness, a little jam, and an underlying funk that was at least a slight bit unsettling. The flavor had the same strawberries, but definitely more tart, and with way too much simple sugar added.. this gave a puckering feeling, but not for the right reasons for a lambic.. musty, oaky notes lurk in the background, which work somewhat well. Tartness lingers on the tip of the tongue even as the super sweetness envelops the rest of the tongue.. too sweet with no semblance of flow to it.
