Strawberry shortcake supreme! The only thing bad about this lambic is its cloudiness. The aroma - phenomenal!

Terrific strawberry lambic. Light and somewhat syrupy. Dirty brown pour. Very smooth strawberry taste with light malts. Probably, too sweet and sugary for most. It’s definitely not for everyone. Rated 2/10/03

UPDATED: JUL 11, 2008 Farmy fruity aroma. Brownish cloudy appearance. Much more like real sour lambic than other fruit lambics. Frabjous and galluptious on the palate. A real treat for the taste buds. Finish? What finsh, balderdash, its all gone! Piss me off. This stuff was really good.

The strawberry flavor seemed to ’even’ this lambic which was very pleasant. The more ’even’ taste made it very drinkable.

This was a nice drink. A little sweet, and the strawberries did not seem to sour as well as some other fruits, but still quite a treat. Had a nice bittering which seems absent in some lambics, though not altogether unpleasant.

Bottle (corked & capped 12 oz) poured correctly by server, into a correct glass. Unlike some of the other reviewers, it seems I got a fresh bottle of this lambic: the color in the glass was a beautiful dark strawberry, not brown. Holding the glass up to the ample natural light seemed to accent the color, while revealing a non-distracting cloudiness. Very little head because of the careful pour, I think. The nose was fresh strawberries. The first few mouthfuls were appropriately sweet but not cloying. The body of this sample was medium; the carbonation was light, with tiny bubbles. At 3.5 per cent alcohol, this went down very well and never turned bitter. To me, it’s a good example of the type and tasty, too.

Bottle. This one is a couple years old. Pours a murky brownish pink with white/pinkish fizzy head. Aroma is very fruit forward, strawberry, some barnyard, strong tang, musty. Flavor is exactly the same with a little cobweb and light malt. Mouth feel is light body with high, fizzy carbonation. Overall, I thought it was very good! Perhaps it takes a few years to mature in bottle.

375ml, capped and corked. Oxidized white wine color, orange / gray. Mustard seed, baby arugula, and tart attic aromas after the swirl. Before the swirl, there is an essence of strawberry jam. Very nice. Tastes like attic fermented wort, definite natural fermentation going on here with a strawberry puree essence under that.
