Bottled. De Troch Framboise. Pours deep maroon into a tumbler. Pink head with good retention recedes to skim surface. Sweet raspberry aromas. Sweet raspberry pie upfront turning tart before heading to marshmallow in the lasting finish. Yes - it’s very sweet, but it tastes just like a piece of pie... and I like pie.

Bottle: Too much for me. Not sure if I’m ready for something with such a bracing sweetness. Wish it had some more funk to balance that out. Will try again to see if I "grow into it"

Alusmamuts (675) - LATVIA - MAR 14, 2015
Red cloudy with small pink head. Raspberry aroma. Sour rich raspberry (and some lambic on background) taste surrounded by some sweetness. Lasting raspberry taste.

*Old rating, best before 15/05/14. Schöne frischen Himbeernoten über einem leicht säuerlich-holzigem Bier. Frisch, nicht zu süß, lecker süffig.

bottle @ Party Source / Bellevue KY --- Hazy dirty cherry color with a couple of rim bubbles, no lace. Taste is primarily tart raspberry that becomes a little more sour as it nears the finish. Not a lot going on, not a beer, not a lambic, but better than Hawaiian Punch.

Bottle from Salling. Dirty, hazy reddish pour with a frothy pink head. Loads of raspberries, syrup, cherries and sugar. A bit sweet but for the tick it was ok.

Bottle. Dark brown hazy red. Almost fermented raspberry jam, real mushy raspberry fruity. Lightish, sweet, with a balanced acidity. Doesn’t get icky even with the significant amount of sugar. Quite nice, easy light drinkable stuff.

Bottle 12,7 oz. Pours purple/reddish with low white head. Aroma is of sugar, raspberries, wet grain, wort. Taste is of sugar, raspberries, berries, tart. Palate: Medium body. Medium carbonation. Overall: Very sweet (way too much). Still better than expected.

UPDATED: OCT 20, 2014 Bottle shared by czar, thanks bro! Pours a hazy and dark red with a thin white head that leaves some lacing. Nose is of straight raspberry jam, nothing else. Taste is sweet and loaded with raspberries. Maybe a bit less sweet than I expected? Good thing that it is! Body was medium as was carbonation. Overall it was OK for a sweetened framboise, I wouldn’t run to get another bottle though.

pours hazy and bright red, almost burgundy, with a small off-white cap showing minimal retetnion and lacing. very fragrant raspberries, sugary - plain fructose or whatever, jam, fruity for sure - even a tropical whisper, very light acidity - citric mostly but also few acetic notes, faint leafiness, old grassy-herbal hops, pinch of dirt, minerals. average carbonation, light to medium body - oily and sticky, sweet w/o being cloying, i.e. also less sugar than all sweetened fruit lambic i’ve had, lightly citric and fruity-grassy finish. more than decent.. for a sweetened fruit lambic..
