25cl, BB 10/05/2013. The base for the rest of a wretched line of nasty fruit versions, a shame to Belgian lambic tradition. Cuivrée, col léger blanc. Arôme de sucre brun, malt, fin houblons en retrait. En bouche, en effet, une base lambic médiocre avec ce profile de bouche de vieille levure et vieux grains, côté médicinal de houblons secs avec un relent de caramel, le tout restant doux et sucré donnant piètre vie à ce noble breuvage qu’est le lambic.

A: Dark amber-orange body. Large off-white head. Looks more like a faro than a geuze.

S: Sweet malts, musty wood, caramel. You can tell this is going to be cloying and muddled.

T: Cloying artificial sugar, caramel, apple cider, and wood.

M: Cloying sweetness, medium body, slight acidity and sourness, and overly assertive carbonation.

O: I am not exactly sure why one would make this beer. If it’s supposed to be an option for people that don’t like the sourness of gueuze, I am not sure how many people would prefer the taste of ass. Seriously, this brewery has the ability to make a decent gueuze (see the Cuvee), they should work on making that even better rather than turning this crap out.

Puke. This beer smelled and tasted like puke. Rotten fruit, rotten wood, old rusty metallic crap. God awful. And I mean AWFUL.

Pour is a pale yellow with a thin white bubbly head. The nose has a faint note of dust and some light apple juice, maybe some golden fruit. Taste is the same, almost no funk, apple juice, golden grapes, a bit syrupy and fairly sour. Medium to full body, syrupy and coating, a bit viscous with a dry finish.

Hazy amber with an acetic, redcurrant aroma. Very sweet and thin with the slightest hint of brett farmyard at the finish its only redeeming feature. Avoid.

Unclear bright yellow pour, not much head. Aroma has bacteria, leather, lemon juice, slightly barnyardy, decent aroma. Taste has a lot of lemony tartness, sour apples, very dry and leathery, somewhat funky. Decent, but not impressive. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Amber/rust coloured with a small white head. Smell of rotten apples, urine, old nappy. Sickly sweet, very sour, vinegar, bitter lemon. I feel I should be cleaning the jacks with it. Awful ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
