Pours a red color with a pink head retention that quickly dissipates and no lacing. The smell is strong, very strong, with sour cherries and a bitter tart aroma. The taste is unbelievable tart with a strong sour cherry and a vinegar zing to it. Limited tasting of oak were noticeable but you have to look for it. Really this is more of a wine spritzer then a beer. It was worth an experiment but overall I was not impressed with this beer. cheapdark (2016), Monacatootha, Pennsylvania, USA

Beautiful creamy sibilation for carbonation. Swirling darker pinkish purple, unfiltered. Farmy barmy fruity flavor. Finish? What finish, confound it, it’s gone! hughie (3053), Bedford, Bedfordshire, England

Not by any means the worst of the sweetened commercial krieks. There is some tartness and even a hint of bitterness. elelwarren (138), SF Bay area, California, USA
| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 8/20 | Dec 26, 2007 Bottle. Almost impossible to open, as it has both a bottle cap & a cork. Had I seen the cork, I may not have purchased it, as I was planning to drink on a picnic. Did not have my knife w/corkscrew, because I flew the day before w/carry-on luggage only! So it was a struggle to pry out this very saturated cork. When I did eventually open the bottle, I was disappointed by the blood red stuff inside. poured with a large head, medium lacing. Smelled of chery juice and had absolutely no beer flavors when drunk (no maltiness or yeastiness!). Sweet & sour. 3.5% is unmarked on bottle. No alcohol flavor whatsoever. Easy to drink, like a good carbonated non-alcoholic cider. Preferable over the latter, but not for the price. LordCorkscrew (948), Ronco Scrivia (GE), Italy
