beerguy101 (3861), Newark, California, USA Jul 19, 2007 This fruit lambic pours a hazy cheery red color from a corked and capped 33cl bottle. Medium sized, quickly diminishing white foamy head. Aroma is sour cherries, tart and sweet cherries, there might also be a touch of malt in there as well. A medium bodied fruit lambic. Lots and lots of cherry flavor. Mostly sweet with a hint of tartness. There is a touch of malt and perhaps a little funk somewhere, but this one is mostly sweet cherries. Kind of uneven tasting, but at least its better than the pineapple. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is sweet. hotstuff (3175), Indiana, USA Jul 8, 2007 Corked bottle. Pink small head that was mostly lasting, minimal lacing, transparent, deep red hue, and visible carbonation, Nose was tart, sweet, sour and cherries. Ditto for the flavor. Tingly mouthfeel and light body. Too sweet and tart for my liking. zebracakes (1214), Washington DC, USA Jun 30, 2007 Bottle. Pours hazy ruby, pink head. Aroma is tart cherries, spices, slight earthiness. Flavor s cherries, earthy, woody. Jerre (1755), Waregem, Belgium Jun 26, 2007 Bottle, 25cl. Red color with small pink head. Aroma sweet cherries. Medium body. Taste = sweet cherry, like cherry bubblegum. For me = too sweet.
faroeviking (6024), Republica Vikingo de las, Faroe Islands Jun 22, 2007 Small bottle. Cloudy deep red colour, no head. Strong sweet flavour of cherries with some sourness. Good mouthfeel. The flavour is sweet and quite a bit sour with cherries. Sweet bit sour cherry finish. Great and refreshing lambiek! SudsMcDuff (1691), was CapeTown,SA-now Houston, Texas, USA Jun 21, 2007 Pours a dark purplish ruby colour...has some low low lacing...headring is constant....smell is of cherries and sweetness?....taste is nice and sweet, cherry taste is quite nice with a hint of bitterness....a good call but $5 makes this a ’every now and again beer’..
maybe overly sweet for some! RichJ7 (1175), Cullman, Alabama, USA Jun 12, 2007 Very, very cherry. Like their banana lambic, only with a different fruit. Heavy on the sweetness, light on the lambic. Magicdave6 (5400), London, Greater London, England May 31, 2007 Kulminator, under de troch kriek, but its clearly chapeau kriek, 2001. Notes say: Super cherry, sweetness is actually well hidden, hits the spot in a few ways?
