Malty, cherry sweet flavor with notes of almonds. joergen (8429), Frederiksberg, Denmark Apr 28, 2007 Bottle.
Hazy red coloured with a pink head.
Sweet aroma of cherries and marzipan.
Sweet flavour of cherries, marzipan and cherry stones. Lubiere (4463), Ottawa, Ontario, Canada Apr 22, 2007 A hazy purple kriek with a very thin rosey white head. Aroma of sweet cherry, musty, citric points. In mouth, this beer comes out a bit week compared to the St. Louis Premium Peche, since the lactic acidity which I long for in such a beer is lacking here. A good cherry base, again musty a lightly oxidized, a bit lacklustre mouthfeel, lighter bodied, short in mouth. Bieropholie import Nov. 2005. No BB date. davidpl (435), Santiago, Chile Apr 17, 2007 Appearance: cherry-red, low head.
Aroma: cherry, reminiscence of citric wild fruits and plums.
Flavor: sweet beginning - citric end of wild fruits, the flavor to cherries is dominant, nevertheless this has artificial features.
Palate: slight body and watery texture.
Beer with artificial aroma and flavor of cherries. IrishBoy (2685), Bakersfield, California, USA Apr 6, 2007 Bottle; nose of sweet cherries and only a tiny tart hint; red with a small pink head; flavor is cherry, cherry, and more cherry. Too sweet! Cletus (5001), Connecticut, USA Apr 1, 2007 Bottle courtesy of dragonstout. Pours brownish with a pink small head. Smells of shirley temple cheap cherries and syrup with hints of dry lemonyness and wheat. Tastes like a shirley temple with some blah lemony sourness thrown in. hopscotch (5437), Vero Beach, Florida, USA Mar 26, 2007 Bottle... This beer rocks!... Murky ruby ale with a small, fizzy, white head. The aroma is of cherry pie filling and a touch of graham... reminiscent of the aroma of New Glarus’ Belgian Red. The flavor is far more sugary and far less pungent than that of traditional lambics. Sweet and fruity; tart and tangy. Medium-bodied and creamy with soft, tingly carbonation. Leaves a lingering, sweet, fruity taste in the mouth. I’ll go against the grain here as I thoroughly enjoyed this brew! There’s more than enough room within the world of beer for both traditional and sweetened lambics, such as this!
