saxo (3511), Højbjerg, Aarhus, Denmark Mar 23, 2006 Bottle. Good strong cherry aroma. Nice head with medium duration. Taste is cherry and acidic. Lilith (242), Santiago, Chile Mar 21, 2006 Its aroma is that of a maraschino, very sweet and that sort of deceived me. This was my first lambic so I thought they were sweeter...In any case, it has a beautiful red color that resemlbes a strawberry juice but with nice bubbles. It wasn’t served on the propper glass so it developed a very small head and almost no lacing (nothing to do with the picture :( ). It has a bittersweet flavor with a sour finnish and a cherry aftertaste.

</FONT> Panzerfaust (393), Santiago, Chile Mar 20, 2006 Updated: Nov 17, 2006Pours a dark and hazy ruby color with a small, light pink and medium retentive head. Not very promising.
Aroma is mostly of cherry, dry cherry and cane sugar, extremely sweet but with slightly yeasty notes.
Flavor has an obvious cherry-ish character. It starts with a short sweet initial attack, then becoming tart and yeasty. Very sour finish with a blur of bitterness.
Body is thick and highly carbonated. It has a consistence of a fruit nectar. Almost no alcohol noticeable.
Not really my cup of tea.

Thanks a lot to <a href=http://www.ratebeer.com/ViewUser.asp?UserID=7208>Sully for inviting us this one.
stegosaurus (1882), Levittown, Pennsylvania, USA Mar 9, 2006 Pours red with a small pink head, aromas of fermented cherries, sweetness. Flavor is carbonated, fruity(cherry), sweet, too sweet, i guess im not liking either this style or this brewery, nothing great here. smcd (366), USA Mar 8, 2006 My favorite of the Chapeau labels, this kriek is a relatively sweet example that highlights its malt backbone while not forgetting the sour notes one expects in a lambic ... just not, unfortunately, in the complex abundance one might otherwise desire. RooftopRogue (423), Champaign, Illinois, USA Mar 4, 2006 This beer offers a nice enticing cherry aroma. This beer is rose colored with a light pink colored head. This beer is thin and mildly tingles the tongue but does not produce much of a taste. Styles (1653), Lincoln Park, Michigan, USA Jan 22, 2006 Best before date isn’t notched on this bottle. Transparent dirty orange color with no head, a few carbonation bubbles and that’s it. Aroma and flavor both have a candied cherry character to them with musty farmhouse funk taking over in the finish. Long cork/wood aftertaste. TAR (2087), Boulder Co., Colorado, USA Jan 17, 2006 Brick red muck. Compact pinkish head. Nose is dominated by paint and medicinal cherry aromatics. Touch of musty concrete. Softly carbonated. Soggy, heavily sweet frontal notes of cherries which is entirely one-dimensional. Flabby sweetness steadily climbs and the sparse acidity fails to allay the aggressiveness of it. No complexity, whatsoever. Finishes just as it started, only with the faintest note of iron swirled with a strawlike malt accent as the temperature rises. A “kriek lambic” eh? Back to the drawing board because this is borderline abominable.
