Tranquillity (1165), Espoo, Finland Apr 30, 2008 Bottled. Dark pink colour, small white head. Smells sweet, apples, cherries, almond. A bit metallic finish. Taste apple and cherry. Good, but a bit too sweet for me. FatPhil (3445), Espoo, Finland Apr 27, 2008 330ml bottle (BelgianShop)
Pinky red, small head. Sweet black cherry aroma, some almond. Fizzy palate. Sweet cherry and a bit of apple juice taste. OK, but not one to drink in any quantity, as it’s too sweet. Not really beer enough as a side effect of that. cellar (483), Dublin, Ireland Apr 8, 2008 Thx for another great tasting, Kim De Troch Kriekenlambik (Beljohansen). Clear red, beautiful colour, marzipan, bubblegum, sweet sweet sweet, not a good kriek :-( KimJohansen (6676), Copenhagen V, Denmark Mar 21, 2008 red with pinkish head. Sweet aroma with artificial cherry notes. Cloying sweet flavor with artifical cherry and marzipan notes. agl108 (503), Manayunk, Pennsylvania, USA Mar 15, 2008 12 oz. bottle at Flat Rock Saloon. Poured deep red, almost purplish with creamy pink head. Nose of strong, sweet cherries. Tastes almost like a cherry cough drop, but one of those good ones that taste like candy. Black cherry flavor evident as well. Much better than the reviews here would have you believe. I’m not sure what others expect, this beer delivers what it says on the label. Skinnyviking (4142), Copenhagen, Denmark Mar 9, 2008 Bottle. Low pink creamy and lasting head. Clear very dark red head. Heavy and sweet cherries aroma with a little, if any, grape fruit notes. Artificial taste of goodness knows what. Cherries, no way ! Oxymoron (104), Fort Collins, Colorado, USA Feb 22, 2008 Tell Welsch’s they can patent this beer. Pours a red color with a pink head retention that quickly dissipates and no lacing. The smell is strong, very strong, with sour cherries and a bitter tart aroma. The taste is unbelievable tart with a strong sour cherry and a vinegar zing to it. Limited tasting of oak were noticeable but you have to look for it. Really this is more of a wine spritzer then a beer. It was worth an experiment but overall I was not impressed with this beer. cheapdark (2011), Monacatootha, Pennsylvania, USA Feb 4, 2008 Updated: Jul 11, 2008Has some pleasurable fruity aroma! Beautiful creamy sibilation for carbonation. Swirling darker pinkish purple, unfiltered. Farmy barmy fruity flavor. Finish? What finish, confound it, it’s gone!
