2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 JWE (209) - Aarhus, DENMARK - MAY 8, 2011
Bottle. Red and hazy with small disappearing head that looks like soap. Aroma is like cherry bubblegum with some vanilla and cough syrup. Taste is like a mixture of children’s vitamins and chewing gum. A lot of cherry flavour, sour, unbalanced and watery.
4.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20 benfergy (151) - Valley City, North Dakota, USA - FEB 22, 2009
The appearance is, as expected, dark red. The aroma is like a very nice combination of wine and cherries. The taste is very good; the cherry flavor is strong, of course, while also having a sense of being a beer as well. It’s a very smooth beer as well. I really, really like this beer, and would recommend it to everyone.
3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 macguy (146) - Tallahassee, Florida, USA - DEC 7, 2004
It’s a tad sweet for me, but not a bad Kriek. Nice sour (but in a good way)pie cherry flavor. I’ll have another soon,.
2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20 elelwarren (140) - SF Bay area, California, USA - DEC 26, 2007
Bottle. Almost impossible to open, as it has both a bottle cap & a cork. Had I seen the cork, I may not have purchased it, as I was planning to drink on a picnic. Did not have my knife w/corkscrew, because I flew the day before w/carry-on luggage only! So it was a struggle to pry out this very saturated cork. When I did eventually open the bottle, I was disappointed by the blood red stuff inside. poured with a large head, medium lacing. Smelled of chery juice and had absolutely no beer flavors when drunk (no maltiness or yeastiness!). Sweet & sour. 3.5% is unmarked on bottle. No alcohol flavor whatsoever. Easy to drink, like a good carbonated non-alcoholic cider. Preferable over the latter, but not for the price.

pale orange with a rose’ head. Deep luscious cherry nose. Nice clean cherry flavor. This balances nice with teh sourness and is very refreshing. It could use a bit more fruit flavor for this style.
3.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 malbert (105) - odense, DENMARK - MAY 26, 2002

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20 nicholai (100) - Helsinki, FINLAND - OCT 16, 2005
I liked this one. Not exceptional, definitely not an everyday beer, but an interesting experience nonetheless. The smell has some odd associations, cherry glue, sweet, almost artificial and cloying, with very candy notes.
Teaste is not as sweet as belied by the smell. Very sippable.
