Wide capped green 375mL pours murky copper colored grapefruit juice with off white head. The aroma offers up moldy oak notes, sugary syrupy fruitiness and mild tartness at the end of the draw. The taste is pretty darn sweet with sugary plum juice, table sugar, some plum sweet/tart candy and a sense of sugar coated oak. It does have a pretty solid sense of plum fruitiness which I enjoy. Overall I can’t get over the sweetness and at the same time mild levels of tartness biting at the edge of my tongue. Hmm.

Hazy golden colour with tiny white head. Soda like sweetness and sharp plum notes in surprisingly good aroma. Sweet malt and tart plum in flavour. Slightly sweet for my taste. But way better that the other Chapeau (Pêche) I tried.

Thanks to Ibrew2or3 for the share. Pours a hazy yellow with a fluffy white head. Nose is plums, sweetness, white sugar, and yeast. Flavor is similar with plums, candied plums, sugar, and yeast. Sweet as all hell.

6 Lovely sweet fruity aroma, almost like it’s a children’s sweet. Actually sugary sweet too.
4 Hazy wheaty orange. Quiet fizzy, but forms a lovely large head.
6 Lovely wheaty beer base, pleasant sharpness, and packed full of grapey and apricoty fruit flavours. A bit too sugary, but otherwise delicious.
3 Sweet sugary palate, but crispy carbonated to make it refreshing. Finish so beautifully wheaty.
12 Sharpness is lovely, but can’t quite cut through the sugariness. Would be interested in seein this age for a couple of years to see if the brett’s still got any legs.

Shared from a bottle at the brewery. Clear golden, filmy white layer. Artificial plum syrup to the nose and taste buds. Too much fructose even for a soft drink (Toer de Geuze, Wambeek 01.05.2011).

Murky gold, ugly side... Super sugary plums, sweet but not palate destroying... The taste does destroy, candy plums... Pass

I think this is underrated. Aroma of rich, real sweet plum, rotten wood (in a great way!). Unidimensional and sweet, but good! Flavor has a bit of sweet/sour alternation but very sweet. Rich flavors. Cloudy, maintains small head.

Bottle at home. Pours yellow-golden with a white head. Aroma is sweet ripe cherry plum-plumy a little lime and rotten wood. Flavour is dry-sweet lime and cherry plum but also strong notes of rotten wood. Long acidic-sweet mirabelle after taste.
