Bottle. [thank you, Yespr]
Pours muddy pale yellow with a small frothy white head. Aroma is sweetly fruity. A little thin mouthfeel. Flavour is lightly sweet mirabelle, subdued spiciness and a very weak tartness. Extremely drinkable - a good fruit to add.

330ml bottle (K Supermarket, Kamppi)
6 Lovely sweet fruity aroma, almost like it’s a children’s sweet. Actually sugary sweet too.
4 Hazy wheaty orange. Quiet fizzy, but forms a lovely large head.
6 Lovely wheaty beer base, pleasant sharpness, and packed full of grapey and apricoty fruit flavours. A bit too sugary, but otherwise delicious.
3 Sweet sugary palate, but crispy carbonated to make it refreshing. Finish so beautifully wheaty.
12 Sharpness is lovely, but can’t quite cut through the sugariness. Would be interested in seein this age for a couple of years to see if the brett’s still got any legs.

250 ml bottle. Finland.
Hazy golden colour with tiny white head.
Soda like sweetness and sharp plum notes in surprisingly good aroma.
Sweet malt and tart plum in flavour. Slightly sweet for my taste. But way better that the other Chapeau (Pêche) I tried.

Bottle. Pours a somewhat hazy gold with fast fading white head. Aroma of plumb, faint barnyard. Flavor is the same and sweet. Mouth feel is light-medium body with medium carbonation. This isn’t as fizzy as a few I have had from them but it tasted decent.
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20 boboski (1095) - Alabama, USA - AUG 25, 2007
Four years old. Hazy orange pour with golden appleskin hints, cluttered with yeast clouds, browned oils and nearly opaque. Only a thin head forms, fully diminishing quickly. The aroma is sweet, with notes of sun-scorched and wilting plums, mildew, unrefined and unused brewing sugars, light yeast and wood that’s scattered randomly about the farmyard. The flavor is quite surprising, certainly a complexity that is unintended, a result of a wacked out recipe and cheap(it would seem) ingredients. Very light tartness and very soft, mild funk, both surely only present due to an unintended infection in an infant stage. The aftermath of a mistake from the start is a rather intriguing taste. Plum notes mingle with flour, flowers, berry-infused yeastiness, caramel, lemon and wood. Sweetness is high but this particular sample is about four years old so it’s dried out some and isn’t cloying, it’s actually really drinkable. No bitterness, though acidity is mild to medium. The finish is lightly soured, fruits lingering with unmatched brevity, mildew-glossed wood notes taking over shortly thereafter. The mouthfeel is softly and randomly carbonated, light-medium bodied, sticky and a touch syrupy, with a strange sugary texture digging into small pockets in the corners of the mouth. Definitely not a lambic, but then again, no Chapeau "lambic" is. This is one of the few beers this brewery makes that is even drinkable. A fun fruit beer it is, one-of-a-kind, so at least that makes it an interesting departure from normalcy in this style vein.

From bottle. Pours a cloudy dark orange with bubbly head. Nose is very sweet, plums and other fruits. Not much else. Flavor is slightly sour and tart, which is needed to cut through all the fruity sweetness. Plum does kind of grow on you. Mouthfeel was nicely carbonated. This is a decent dessert beverage, but is too sweet otherwise.
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 PilsnerPeter (2959) - Flushing, New York, USA - MAY 19, 2009
Bottle: Hazy golden pour with a white fading film of head. Sugary aroma- some papery old character with cork notes and some citric plummy notes and mold. Slick feel with a sweet flavor. Plummy indeed with a sugary sweetness dominating. Some mild citric character- astringent on the throat. Light cork notes come through all the sweetness which saves it a bit.. Papery finish. Typical overly sweet Fruit-Lambic.

Sour barnyard funk on the nose with faint hints of plums. Hazy gold brown color with white head. Sweet plum body with a fizzy finish. No barnyard funk or sourness in the body. Finish was slightly off.
