I hate to admit it but I love these sugary sweet crap drinks from chapeau. Now Daknole tells me this is plum, but it tastes, to me, like fermented marmalade. Good, tho, a cleaner flavor (less sugar) than many of their others. Bottle from Knightly Spirits, Orlando.

Bottle @ home shared with my girlfriend. Hazy yellow color, small white head. Smell sweetness and something similar to peach. Taste sweet and some passion fruits. Low to medium carbo, low body.

$3 single at Binny’s, April 11. Nice smell coming out of the bottle, a fruity wine with plum in the background. Color is a full pilsener range, just a little rosy in the thicker parts, and I’ve got a good-sized white head that collapses into a bowl. Taste is sweet, as other taters notice, but I don’t think of that as a flaw. Maybe if I had let it sit another year or so it might ferment out a little more. But I do find it enjoyable for a fruit flavored beer. I do get some cork, even though I’ve kept it vertical at all times. I’d have another.

Backlog from 26 June 2011, to be drunk by 27/09/12. Bottle from Pater Marcus, served very cold. Nose is sweet, extremely jammy fruit, plum marmelade with a little peach and yeast. Pours a dirty light brown with a rocky white head. Taste is just sugar beyond belief, gonna be hard to finish this one! Light acidity is the savior here as it helps to undercut the big mess of sweetness. The plumminess is lost a bit in the candy. Medium body.

(375ml bottle) clear gold with a ring of white bubbles. Nose of apple juice, moss, cellar, sugar, other syrupy fruit sweetness. Taste of moss, apple juice, sugar, very light tartness, gold raisins, just tastes old, sweet and NLT very good.

375mL bottle poured hazy golden color with white head settling down to little lace. Smells of plum and wood. Tastes of plum, sweet up front and tart and acidic at the end.
