2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
Also tasted as Winter Gueuze and the only Christmas lambic I know of. Loose, crispy, almost champagne-like, thin and quickly dissolving, light beige head, colour amber with reddish glow, darker than I am used to when it comes to geuze, lightly misty. Sweet and sour aroma reminiscent of ice tea (a bit like Lindemans’ Tea Beer), some apple, lemon, tea leaves, lemonade, liquorice, cork. Citrussy, refreshing onset, herbal accents, but overpowered by a sugary sweetness that sticks till deep into the throat. A light lambic character (light bitterness) is noticeable, however, but not nearly enough to balance the sweetness.

Troebel licht bruin bier met weinig schuim. Smaak is licht zoet en zuur. Uitstekende Gueze. Smaak blijft gemiddeld hangen. Winter geuze volgens etiket.

Una delle mie birre preferite .. sembra quasi una farò tanto é dolce! Per gli amanti delle birre acide .. addolcite e fruttate!

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Yes! Thanks to myself for making this happen to end this epic tasting. Pours hazy amber with a white head. Aroma is very funky with notes of stable, sweeter ripe fruits, sweet cherries and kinda acidic. Sweet/sour thing going on here. Taste has those same notes but is much more sweet and sugary. I get the ripe fruits, and some balsamic notes here. "balance" is not the keyword of this beer but I drank it anyway!

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle. Pours reddish amber with a white head. Aroma of figs, baked cinnamon apples, dough and a slight vinegar. Taste is sweet, artificial fruit cake. Cherry, almond and cinnamon. Not the greatest of beers, but it does somewhat taste like christmas.

1.2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 1/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 5/20
Bottle at Delirium Cafe, pours a dark amber with a medium tan head. Nose brings out metallic notes and some oak - nothing like a gueuze a all. Flavour is similar with candied sugar dominating, a little metallic quality, and more sugar. How can you call this is a gueuze. Pretty terrible.

surprenant pour une Gueuze, c’est une faro ? Très sucrée, aux aromes de fruits rouges

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle, 375 ml. Clear dark copper pour with smallish ring of white foam. Aroma is woody, mushrooms, dusty aroma, light acetone, smells like really old oxidized gueuze. Taste is sweet, definitely into faro territory, dusty and woody finish, light wet hay. Palate is sweet, very low carb, almost flat. Not good, but not all that bad either.

2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle (375 ml). As "Winter Gueuze". Shared by JulienHuxley, thanks! Slightly hazy bright copper with a small ring of white foam and little lacing. Aroma is of caramel, brown sugar, light wooden notes and toasted malt. Taste is moderately sweet with caramel, brown sugar, light sourness and toasted malt. Medium body. Low carbonation. Sirupy mouthfeel. It taste like an old sweetnened Gueuze or a moderately good Faro.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 10/20
Dark brown in the glass. Nose is sour, woody, slightly sweet. The beer starts a bit woody-sweetish, nice sour vinegar-like hints, not too sour, not too sweet. The mainpart is fruity, nice woody-sweet-sour, but I can’t find any spices or so. The aftertaste is long, woody-sweet-sour. More like a Faro. But nice!
