2.6 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Look; off white top, near clear amber golden body.
Aroma; fermented apples, peels, paint.
Taste; fruity bunch of apples, honey, marzipan, bhutan, - leading to a sweet juicy nutty finish.
Overall as fruit beer, ok except for that odd paint scents.

1.6 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 5/20
Bottle shared at home. Clear dark golden with small off white head. Roses, puke, wort, sweet rotten grains, cane sugar, mint, lots of sweet herbs. Taste is sweet wort. Medium bodied with low carbonation. Tastes like unfermented wordt and smells like garbage juice. Disgusting.

2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
(bottle, 37.5cl) Hazy, murky golden to amber colour with a short and slightly off-white foamy head. Slightly acidic, mouldy and yeasty aroma with artificial fruity notes of bonbon and candy. Sweet and slightly sour-tart flavour, light to medium bodied with a tame carbonation. Initially sweet and artificial taste with notes of candy; sweet and sour-fruity finish with mouldy notes. No pleasure. 15.IX.15

1.1 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 3/20
Easily one of the WORST beers i have ever had. I would have never thought that a terrible "geuze" like this could make it overseas to where i live.
aroma is like those 90ís sweet juice drinks that come in plastic bottle-shaped containers or little hand grenade containers. That, mixed with some metal and cheese.
flavor is metal, corn syrup, vegetal, and very slight sourness that all works together to produce the most unappealing mess i have tried that calls itself lambic.

The most persistent thing in here is fake grape juice - like tang drink crystals. Of course, this aroma must have been around before tang invented it, so Iím not sure thatís de Trochís fault. Pinkish pour with ok head. Mostly sweet finish. Bottle.

From a 33 cl bottle at the WWWW RB tasting. Pours a clear pale pinkish gold. Aroma of sweet cane sugar. Flavors of candi sugar. Whereís the funk?

3.9 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours a pale, effervescent light copper with a long-lasting white foam head. Aroma is raspberry, with a very light hint of tartness. Flavor is sweet, syrupy fruit. I bought this expecting something sour and got something sweet instead. Oh well. I enjoyed it, but I can understand the low ratings.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
375 ml bottle into tulip glass, 2014 vintage bottling. Pours slightly hazy deep golden yellow color with a 2 finger dense white head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of lemon, peach, apricot, apple, white grape, candi sugar, hay, straw, light funk, and yeast earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good complexity and balance of fruity/funky yeast and moderate malt sweetness; with solid strength. Taste of lemon, peach, apricot, apple, white grape, candi sugar, hay, straw, light funk, and yeast earthiness. Slight tart/spicy finish; with lingering notes of lemon, peach, apricot, apple, white grape, candi sugar, hay, straw, light funk, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice robustness and complexity of fruity/funky yeast and moderate malt sweetness; with a great malt/yeast balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, fairly crisp, and slightly syrupy mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with zero warming present after the finish. Overall this is a very good sweetened lambic style. All around good robustness, complexity, and balance of fruity/funky yeast and moderate malt sweetness; and very smooth and crisp to drink. A nicely enjoyable offering.

2.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Appearance: clear dark gold, small white head. Aroma: rather sweet, but otherwise a typical lambic/gueuze aroma, with green apples, rice vinegar, a bit of lemon and a dose of funk strongly reminiscent of stilton cheese. Taste: hugely sweet, with green apples, peaches in heavy syrup, muddled pears, a bit of cough syrup. Finish: slightly dry in the back of the throat, almost like a real gueuze should be, but thereís a lingering sweet syrupy feel thatís overpowering. Notes: ok, a winter gueuze, eh? So thatís why itís like drinking slightly lambic-flavored syrup. Interesting concept, but would not try again. Bottle from the Westover Market, Arlington, Virginia.
