Bottled - had as Winter Gueuze at 5.5% ABV. Unclear dark amber beer with a rim of beige head. The aroma is very spicy, as well as very light notes of bret, and some spices. Very weird flavor - very sweet, very spicy, cinnamon, leading a dry spicy finish.

37.5 cL bottle, Kerstbierfestival 2007 in Essen/Belgium as Chapeau winter geueze 5.5%. Pours hazzlenut brown with a lacing off-white head. Berry fruity aroma with notes of malt and slight note of liqourice. Flavour is sweet malty, caramel with a classic geueze towards faro like note. Finish is sweet with a solid malt base lingering. Nice yet simple.

A little bit muddy. A stroke of sugary genius, this gueuze doesn’t even bother teasing me with a funky nose - a candied wheat beer with a slight lemon accent. Even a small glass is plenty.

bu11zeye (10165) - Frisco (Dallas), Texas, USA - DEC 29, 2007
(Bottle, labeled Winter Gueuze) Pours a glistening clear amber body with a small off-white head. The burnt plastic aroma upfront is overpowering, but later subsides with notes of corn syrup, ammonia, spoiled fruit, light cork, and some herbal qualities. Flavor of sweet corn syrup (surprise!), mint, light fruitiness, and some herbs.
