3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle. [thanks Feldthaus]
Pours hazy yellow with a medium, creamy white head. Aroma has malts, light citrus, somewhat grainy and a bit of yeast. Highish carbonation, okay and slightly grainy mouthfeel. Flavour has lemons, sweet malts, a slight hint of metal, apple, some watery notes. Fine, if a bit boring.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
[750ml bottle] Pours a pretty hazy golden yellow, large white puffy head. Aroma is farily yeast-forward, some barnyard funk (the red we had from the same gift pack was infected), hay, slight orange citrus. On the flavour, tastes like you’d expect from a biere de garde – more of that hazy, musty yeast element, mixed with grassy, almost herbal hops. Quite refreshing, all told

2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Label says 5% alc.
Medium creamy white head changes into a thicker closed lacing on top of a light cloudy yellow colored beer.
Smell is a watery and thin mix of soap, citrus, light hint of something glue ish, cactus, wheat, hint of malts, vanilla. Mostly a strange mix of soap, wheat and malts.
Taste wheat, meat, iron, floral, some hops, grass, hint of earth, malts, light to medium bitter, some bitter floral hop notes and some yeast and grass.
Aftertaste is wheat with malts, light bitter, hint of meat, floral and grassy.
Low to medium carbo, soft creamy light blown mouthfeel, medium unbalanced body and a creamy texture.
This one is very unbalanced, not good, while the Printemps beer is way better.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
(33 cl bottle from bottleshop in Bayeux) Pours a cloudy amber with medium, white head. Good retention and lace. Aroma is barn, straw, malty with some tart notes. Oily texture, lively carbonation, light body and a slightly dry and sour finish. Typical bière de garde flavour although a bit subdued: Yeast-dominated with only a dry hint of hops and not much body in this case.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottled (as Fermière Normandie Blonde, 5.0%). Lightly hazy golden, small head. Floral hay aroma. Dryish and freshly hoppy with light-medium body. Lots of fresh hay-like hops, mid bitter finish. Pleasant and nicely drinkable.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Hazy golden pour. The nose is a bit musty and a little bit corky as well. A touch of spice and a little bit of oxidized character as well. Lightly grassy towards the finish. Minerally and herbal. It’s okay, but it’s best days are well behind it.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
I usually quite enjoy subtle, subdued beers in this style, but this is subtle to the point of being boring - aroma of white wine, oxidation, cork - lemony tang and a fair amount of oxidation in the flavor as well - some banana, honey, a touch of floral character - a light doughiness - meh.
