330ml bottle poured in its own chalice A: Deep reddish brown color with a big and aired beige head which dissipates quickly leaving some lacings S: Very fruity. Reminded me grapes, mainly. Bready. Caramel malts. Belgium yeasts and spices. Alcohol can be also felt in the end T: Sweet upfront. Like the nose: Notes of grapes and dark fruits. Caramel malts, oak, Belgium yeasts and alcohol in the end. Discreet bitterness M: Heavy body and low carbonation. Discreet bitterness and alcoholic end D: Good but a bit heavy [ BA Review @ 9/19/2010 ]

Raisin cake, nuts. Red fruit, croissant, green pepper, sour sweet finish. Can feel a bit of the alcohol burn, interesting strong red ale but not that smooth or balanced.

Buonissima birra.

Must say, gorgeous bottle. Pours brown, ruby red with small disappearing head. Aroma of dried fruit, caramel and grass. Taste is quite flat, more dried fruit combined with quite bitter hops. Have had better.

Bottle from E.Leclerc, Riberac. Poured a bright ruby, with a dense off white head. Aroma of dates, grain and grassy hop. Bitter hop flavours, with some sweet toffee, dried fruit and bread to balance. Finish was caramel, yeast esters and herbal notes.

Crystal clear medium amber body with a light tan head that laces the glass well. Quite strong aroma of caramel, dark dried fruits (lots of raisins!), lightly roasted notes and traces of port wine. Pretty strong flavour that is dominated by sweet caramel, also dark dried fruits and lightly roasted stuff. Moderate to heavy sweetness with only a light bitterness in the long-lasting finish. Very well hidden alcohol. Mid-bodied, smooth and pleasant, moderate carbonation. Sweet and enjoyable!
[75 cl bottle shared at home with Svensenga Smak & Behag, enjoyed 2 years after bottling, from SuperBrugsen Nykøbing Sj., Denmark]
