Bottle. Pours clear dark reddish brown with frothy white head. Aroma is malt, caramel, coffee, nuts, flowers, dough and hints of cloves, plum, prunes, cinnamon and wine. Taste is medium sweet, light sour and light bitter. Body is oily with good carbonation. Finish is light metallic and follows the nose.

Bottle from Fakta, Aarhus - Ruby brown pour with large foamy head. Dark dried fruit in aroma and taste with a toffee syrup and caramel malt character. Lovely. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

330 ml bottle, poured into a tulip glass. ABV 8,5% Nice big head, almost three fingers tall, off-white in colour. Good lacing around the glass when the foam started to disappear. The beer itself is a a deep ruby colour. Caramel on the aroma, notes of vanilla, yeast, red grapes. Taste of red grapes too, nice wine-like flavour but with a some metallic notes. Other than that, malts, caramel, some other dark fruits. Alcohol very well hidden. Full on the body, average carbonation. Good belgian strong ale, with nice alcoholic warmth and taste that doesn’t disappoint.

Roodbruine kleur. Kraag verdwijnt snel tot een randje. Ruikt zoetig en licht caramel, smaakt zoetbitter. Aardig maar niks bijzonders.

Bottle. Pours near clear but deep ruby amber with big foamy off white head and very good lace. Aromas of big sweetness from grainy malts, toffee notes, pitted fruits and some light citrus (peel). Medium body, lightly carbonated, gentle sweetness. Finish is sweet, lingering sweetness, mouthfeel being creamy. Subtle, refreshing and satisfying. If maybe a slight touch cloying on the finish.

Een mooie diep rode kleur. Een lichte zoete smaak, maar ook een lichte bitter. Vol aroma

Bottle from Terre de Boissons. Calais 75cl drunk with a thai red curry. deep red colour thin beige head. its a strangely muted beer with some red fruits and some belgian yeast ester character. its tasty enough to combat the chilli. its strong enough to get me drunk. the food however is blinding so the beer suffers in comparison. Fine though
