Bottle. Creamy white good mostly lasting head. Amber colour. Moderate malty and hoppy aroma. Some nice yeasty notes. Moderate bitter flavor. Some fruity esters. MOderate bitter finish. Oily palate.

One of several Belgian Strongs I picked up my first trip to Brussels. This was one of the weaker varieties. Not much to distinguish is from its more spicy cousins. Slightly more dry and less full bodied as well.

Clear dark amber with a lasting off-white head. Aroma is sweet, caramel and malty, caramel.

UPDATED: APR 17, 2013 330ml bottle. Pours cloudy brown, with vanishing tan head. Sweet. spicy and yeasty taste, some fruity, with a dry aftertaste. Body is medium, average carbonation, light crispy texture.

On tap at taberna belga, braga, portugal. Strong dark brown red color. Medium carbonation. Low bitterness and low to medium sweetness. Caramel and malty aroma.

Bottle. Aroma of malt with a bit of rubber, yeast and portwine. Redgolden amber with beige head. Nice sweeit Belgain ale flavour with malt, caramel and yeast.

Bottle from Kvickly as Keizer Karel / Charles Quint Ruby Red Øl. ABV 8.5%. Clear dark amber with a lasting off-white head. Aroma is sweet, malty, caramel, yeasty and sugar. Flavor is quite sweet and moderate bitter. Sweet and moderate bitter finish with a little warming alcohol. 161212
