330ml bottle, shared by Tranquillity. Very dark red, healthy tight head. Caramel sweet aroma. Sweet malty caramel taste, smooth and spicy. Slight yeasty taste, and more yeast makes it more astringent in the mouth and feel more alcoholic. Creamy and fruity - melon and some apple - and the alcohol is mostly well hidden. Not much finish, alas.

Bottle from La Primus, Brussels. Malty, spicy, sweet nose. Pours a brown and red beer. Malty sweet taste of dry fruits. Not bad and went nicely with a steak.

Bottle 33 cl. Pours a dark amber with a medium but fading off-white head and a thin aroma that is both sweet (caramel, strawberries, brown sugar) and spicey while some yeast can be noted too. Taste is mainly spicey and a tad sweet (candy sugar) and bitter. Nice hoppy finish and almost no alcohol to be noted (while this is 8,5%) A nice original belgian ale, I like it, even though I drank it a bit too cold.

Gold brown color with minimal head. Aroma was faint, but perhaps because the beer was served to me icey cold. As the glass warmed I did notice a hint of something spicey, maybe chili. The flavor and aftertaste were surpringly non-alcoholic for such a strong beer. The entire glass washed down soomthly with little to know bitterness. I don’t know how the Belgian’s do it with this strong that seemingly hide the alcohol. Drink with caution, but definitely drink. Cheers

Great Beer! The light foam sparkles with aroma and the flavor is to die for. Drank this on the Grand Place in Brussels. Absolutely perfect with Carbonnade.

Red-brown beer with good beige foam. Aroma is soft malty and has hints of fruits, red berries and some caramel. Taste is spicy, and fruity. it has touches of nuts and grain, it ends with an interesting bitter touche.

Bottle from a Delhaize in Gent. Mahogany coloured with a decent off-white head. Aroma of candy sugar, red fruit and spice. The flavour was synthetically sweet with more spice and a vaguely dry finish. Not a good example of the style.
