330ml bottle. Pours a hazy deep ruby amber, with a smallish off-white head, which lasts fairly well and leaves decent lacing. The aroma offers toffee and honey malt notes, along with sweet berry and glace cherry. Mild floral hops up front lead into a berry flavour, with some slightly jarring woody notes coming through. Port in the mid-palate gives way to an alcohol finish. On the whole this is not a bad beer, but it does have some slightly jarring aspects that set it back a little.

On tap in tiny tiny pub in Ghent. Sweet malt nose, golden beer with lasting white head. Taste is slight bitterness followed by roasted malt sweetness. Sourness and alcohol finish it off. Excellent.

Strong head, beige. The aroma of sweet, malty, roasted plum, raspberry and a minimum of alcohol. The taste is slightly bitter, like aroma feel prunes, fried. After heating the bitterness is stronger, as well as alcohol. This is a minus, because it destroys the pleasure of tasting. At the end it’s just alcohol, too bad.

Brown-ruby pour, frothy lasting head. Tastes a bit like raspberry cordial - sweet and a little artificial. Some flaky sediment. This was okay, not bad, but I wouldn’t buy it again.

Bready and some what caramelly aroma. The taste is similar but with raisins too. Dry and slightly bitter finish. Decent but more flavours and complexity would have been appreciated.

Approvata.

Dark, sweet, great tones of plums. This beer is great for cold winter nights.

Bottle 33cl. Deep dark brown with a reddish glow. Small off white top that fades quickly. Aroma not very special. Some sweetness and citrus recognizable. Taste is vaguely sweet, but there’s a peculiar spicy touch to it. Not very comforting. Alcohol is clearly present too.

Bottle. Red amber body, medium head. Aroma has prunes and figs. Sweet caramelly taste with brown sugar. Mouthfeel is on the thinner side. Finish has fresh cucumber. The aroma was promising but the taste didn’t follow. So so.

Cerveza de color rojo oscuro con una cabeza de color blanca. Aroma a malta, levadura, frutas oscuras y especies. Sabor a malta tostada, caramelo, a fruta rojas, con un toque a lúpulo dulce. Buena cerveza.
