Charles Quint Blonde Dorée/ Keizer Karel Goudblond

23rd February 2008. Light and clean blonde. Some subtle fruit and brandy in the finish. Very dry.

bottle of this years ago at Smokeless Joe’s yellowish amber, good foam nose is belgian spices and malt kinda sweet flavor is similar doesn’t seem as high in the booze well hidden

Minimal head over a clear blonde body. Good lacing. Smell is huge in bubble gum with yeast and some citrus. Taste was a lot of the same. I can’t believe how much this one taste and smells like bubble gum! Really weird. I like this one but it’s not the best BSA. Just different than others I’ve had. Overall not very well balanced with the hops and sweetness but still a pretty good beer.

Clear golden beer with a thin lasting white head, aroma is citrussy, floral and spicey - taste follows but with a slightly bitter finish that knocks down the score. Kinda reminds me of Tripel Karmeliets poorer cousin.......still a good beer though.

from tap @ the republiek, brugge, golden colour and very stable nice white head. Sour and grainy smell. Taste: fruity, grainy, a bit bitter, malty and yeasty. Good quality and typical Belgian blond-beer.

Bottle 0.33L. Clear golden body with a large, creamy, white head, mostly lasting with a good lacing. Lots of tinuy particles coming from the bottom of the glass. Intense malty aroma (bread); light yeasty and hoppy notes. Moderate spicy, fruity (orange) and alcoholic notes are present too. Heavy sweet taste at the beginning; then also a bitter note appears for a long-lasting finish. Medium body with an oily texture; soft carbonation; some alcoholic feeling in the finish. Satisfactory.
