Clear golden beer with a thin lasting white head, aroma is citrussy, floral and spicey - taste follows but with a slightly bitter finish that knocks down the score. Kinda reminds me of Tripel Karmeliets poorer cousin.......still a good beer though.

from tap @ the republiek, brugge, golden colour and very stable nice white head. Sour and grainy smell. Taste: fruity, grainy, a bit bitter, malty and yeasty. Good quality and typical Belgian blond-beer.

Bottle 0.33L. Clear golden body with a large, creamy, white head, mostly lasting with a good lacing. Lots of tinuy particles coming from the bottom of the glass. Intense malty aroma (bread); light yeasty and hoppy notes. Moderate spicy, fruity (orange) and alcoholic notes are present too. Heavy sweet taste at the beginning; then also a bitter note appears for a long-lasting finish. Medium body with an oily texture; soft carbonation; some alcoholic feeling in the finish. Satisfactory.

bottle, pours golden, white head. Aroma is yeasty with notes of citrus and orange peel. Taste, malty with a honey like palate, yeasty with a light bitter hoppy finish. Notes of fruits, orange/banana followed by spices and a lively abv.

BEARLIKE DRUNK OOZED GEL ! Good little beer this. Actually drunk a couple of months after the best before date but still tasted remarkably fresh. Great strong fruity aroma on opening, and a very clear pale golden pour with barely any head. What looked slightly insipid however was very pleasant on the tastebuds with the 8.5% clearly evident. Fruity and sweet with undertones of vanilla icecream this went down far too well. Just wish i’d had another waiting in the fridge

Bottle. Pours golden with a white head. Very crisp appearance. Very spicy aroma. Grassy hoppy over malty aroma’s. Smooth mais palate. Decent beer.

In short: A bready perfumy Belgian blonde ale with no real character.
How: Bottle 330ml. Age unknown (about 1 year old?)
The look: A medium white head over a clear dark blonde body with A LOT of medium-size particles.
In long: The nose is very foral/perfumy with a little band-aid. Smelled like a get-well bouquet of flowers in a hospital. Taste is not-totally-cooked white bread (a bit doughy) dipped in honey and rolled in perfumy flowers. The 8.5% is rather well hidden. No bitterness and/or dryness yet the beer didn’t feel too sweet. I can’t fault it for anything but it felt so, you know, blah uninspired. Named after a dude from the 16th century who didn’t invent penicillin.

Bottle at Académie De La Bière. Dark golden color with a slight white head. Strong yeast spice aroma. Full bodied with mild carbonation. Rather dry though malt is at the finish. Flavor is light spice and fruit over light malt, but there’s lots of it.

Clear, but sedimented light golden. The small white head performs a jolly trick of white lacing after each sip. Slightly sour, bready yeastiness encompasses a biscuity pale maltiness that immediately reminds of honey. Fair alcohol presence, while not quite annoying, would require a bit more backbone in the mouthfeel department to be a part of an integrated whole. Rather easy-going, but not particularly deep. A soft estery fruitiness feels a bit perfumey, but fortunately not too sweet. Timid yeast character and absent hops. Metallic, relatively short finish with a final zip of alcohol. Fairly average compared to its siblings.

dark gold colour near to Amber light. Nice head. Aromatic honey, caramel and malty scents. Soft and dry at back. Very nice Belgium ale..
