Years ago in the UK, the slang term for a shilling was a "bob." Our interpretation of a Scottish 70/- uses British malts and hops to render a flavor profile featuring rich caramel, toasted bread, and underlying chocolate; all wrapped in a "Session Beer" package that allows for exuberant consumption. Cheers!

On tap at black sheep burrito and brew in Charleston, WVa. 70 bob is a rich copper colored brew with a small white head. Nose is nutty with definite caramelized brown sugar. Taste is a good blends of caramelized grain and cereal malt. Body is medium and a bit lively. A very solid Scottish ale.
