In many ways, American Amber Ale is the forgotten cousin of Pale Ale and IPA. Too big and malty for the former, and not hoppy and alcoholic enough for the latter, old Amber Ale has been, in many instances, relegated to the Craft Beer dustbin. We seek to recall the heyday of this fine style with "Forever Amber." Up front notes of caramel and subtle raisin, matched in the backend palate with grapefruit and berry render a beer that addresses our love of both hops and malt, prior to a clean, off-dry finish.

Half pint on tap at the brewpub. Pours translucent crimson red with medium beige head. Herbal hop aroma, medium body, medium/low carbonation, and thin small bubble lacing. Taste is nice caramel malt with nice balancing herbal hops. Nice for a hoppy beer.
