Brewed and named in tribute to a young man who has endured countless hours of brewery trips, tastings, and general beer nerdery. Bready malt aromas combine with light spice from the 250 pounds of malted Rye malt used in the recipe, with underlying floral hop notes. Flavors of more pleasant Pacific Northwest hops up front, before sweet malt, and a pleasantly full, rye malt-derived mouthfeel, before a clean finish. Cheers to Rye!

Half pint at the brewery. Pours hazy golden with small white head. Medium/thick body, low carbonation, and citrus aroma. Taste is citrus, rye, and floral notes.

Draft. Pours a hazy, pale yellow with a white head of foam that lasts through the life of the beer. Aroma is eatery and spicy with just the right amount of floral and fruity hops to keep me into it. Taste is more of the same. The rye played a surprisingly small role in this beer, but it’s still noticeable. My favorite of the visit.
