COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A modernized version of a classic English "Best Bitter." This beauty utilize English malted barley and hops, combined with a clean American yeast strain. The result is a splendid aromatic and flavor balance between caramel, toffee, dark fruits, and hop-derived floral notes.

Sampled at the brewery. Tan in color with a ring. This is, as expected, light fare. Nice malts and soft fruit. There is also a bright side here from a decent hop profile. Grassy and also citrus notes from them. A bitbof earth. This is a pleasant bitter.

Light amber color with a thin off white head. Light sweet nose. Flavors of raw hop bitterness, some grass, toasted white bread, caramel and some apple sauce fruitiness. Not the most interesting bitter.

JStax (3244) - Devola/Marietta, Ohio, USA - JUL 21, 2013
Poured on kraft. Pours a darker copper with a creamy white head of foam. Good retention. Aroma is fairly nonexistent. I get a slight caramel and biscuit presence, but there really isnít much going on with this one. Taste is more of the same. Itís more malt forward than anything, but even there itís hard to say that this beer tastes like anything. Thatís the idea behind this style, though, right?

Copper color with a medium head. Fruity aroma and maybe alittle soap and I dont know if that is a bad. Taste is light, some sweetness, caramel and light hops with a somewhat watery finish.
