3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours an amber color with 1 finger head that quickly dissipates and leaves small to moderate lacing. Aroma of lightly toasted malt, very bitter grapefruit hop, some resinous hops. Medium to full bodied. Moderate carbonation. Very long bitter finish. This beer packs a punch. Very hop driven, which I love, although not well balanced given the IBUs. I enjoyed this one!

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 16/20
2015 bottle. A muddy brown color with a lush light tan head. Good lacing. The aroma is hopcentric, piney and herbaceous with a hint of tropical fruit and caramel. Taste is the same with the hop flavor taking center stage. Has some green pepper and an almost charred taste that ends a little soapy. Has a medium mouthfeel that is semi-dry acerbic.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pours a muddy dirty penny copper color with a big tan head that retains very nicely and leaves great lacing. Aroma is earthy with garlic and onion character, pepper spiciness and some pine. A big black pepper spiciness in the flavor along with pine resin, some citrus pith and a green leafy character. Also has a bit of sweetness early in the taste that is overtaken by the other flavors and a prominent bitterness. Finishes mostly dry with a hop bitterness that coats the tongue. Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Was surprised how dark this was but still the hop flavors really took the lead.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
UPDATED: MAY 2, 2015 An opaque caramel body sits beneath a short frothy-smooth light khaki head creating a short wall of lace and a solid ring, each sip creates large, sharp globs of additional lace
Somewhat simplified aromas and flavors of zesty citrus juice, clean pine, creamy melon, watermelon seeds and somewhat muddling caramel malt which coelesce into a slightly chocolatey bubble gum, all on a smooth, flowing, slightly watery medium body with light carbonation and a medium dose of drying bitterness bursting on the finish with faint alcohol accents, leading to a zesty caramel-ctirus residual with light pine and solid duration

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours a dark amber color with a small head. Aroma of grapefruit, pine, rain and bit of fruit. taste follows with a good bit of pine, citrus, grainy with bit of fruit sweetness. Distinct bitterness that lingers for a bit. Medium body, crisp with plenty of hops. The 9% ABV is very well hidden. Interesting beer, with a hop attitude.
