Pours a dark, opaque brown with a thin tan head. Aroma is slightly sweet with a bit of a chocolatey note. Taste is ok, remember it being better on tap. Taste to me has very little chocolate and more dark fruit.

(bottle - 22 oz) Dark brown pour with a thick tan head. Cocoa powder and milk chocolate in the aroma. Some light burnt sugar. Rich chocolatey flavor at the start with a smooth and creamy middle and a sweet finish. Was surprised that it was a quad and not a stout.

Bomber from Wine & Cheese in Clayton, MO. Pours very dark brown with a transient beige head. Aroma is very light chocolate. A little something I canít identify. Med body, maybe less. Flavor is definitely chocolate - but not like a stout or porter. Subsidiary fruity esters - could be some pinapple. It cries out for plums or cherries or dark red grapes.

Bottle shared by bhensonb. Pours dark brown with a transient tan head and a chocolate and alcohol aroma. There is a fruity chocolate flavor with some vanilla and a dry finish.

I had this at Global Brew. Pours dark brown with a tan head. Taste chocolate, sweet, dark fruit. I thought this was good. I could drink this again. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

22oz bottle in a tulip. Pours brown with a beige head. Aroma of chocolate, spicy yeast, dark fruits, some dark and caramel malts, and light bitter notes. Flavor the same with a nice blend. Average texture. A pretty good quad.

2/3/2014. On tap. Dark brown with a tan head. Malty and chocolate aromas with spices. Predominantly chocolate flavors with light spice, fruit and a semi-sweet finish. Nice balance.

The aroma belnds the smell of chocolate and caramel malts, and the appearance is an opaque black with a medium off-white head. The taste is mildly sweet and mildly umami, and these mellow out to be quite chocolately on the finish. The palate also fuses a full body, thick texture, and a soft carbonation.

From ZDKís gathering. The aroma is caramel, sweet, chocolate, but odd sort of artificial-ness. The appearance is brown in color, off-white head. The flavor is like a box of chocolates, a mash up of chocolate, and other sweet flavors, like strawberry, raspberry, etc. The finish is sweet, light pine. Very good.
