3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
22oz bottle via trade. Deep dark brown with a small fizzy head that quickly fades to a tiny ring. Aroma of milk chocolate mostly with some vanilla and caramel. Flavor is sweet chocolate and milk caramels with very light roast, alcohol very well hidden. Medium to full body with a soft, smooth mouth feel. I don’t get any Quad character in this, it’s all about the chocolate. A great sweet chocolate beer, a horrible Quad.

This was an interesting brew. Aroma of chocolate with sweet dark fruits, like a cordial cherry almost. The flavor was a strange combo of chocolate with a sweet dessert wine, or possibly prunes or raisins. Somehow, that combination of sweet dark fruit and bittersweet chocolate works. Again on the finish, I was getting both chocolate and wine. All in all, really delicious and unique.

Holy cordial cherry batman. This is what i was reminded of here. I starting enjoying this quite a bit but I had a hard time finishing a 10oz snifter. Alittle too thick and sweet for me...which is unusual. I love the bottle art...love as a beer to share. No nuances. Just big time flavor

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
22 oz. bottle. Pours a black cola like color with a small head. It’s black. The aroma has some chocolate, roast flavors, and Belgian yeast like esters though the latter is he lighter of the three. The taste really brings the chocolate into play. A wave of smooth chocolate glides across the palate. I must say the name is very fitting and I am glad they did not hold back on the chocolate. The palate is smooth and silky almost like some good chocolate.

Opaque black beer, big fluffy tan head. Palate is smooth with mild carbonation. Chocolate! Slightly tangy milk chocolate and a lesser tone of drinking chocolate and that somewhat powdery chocolate you associate with cheap sweets. A hint of tangy chocolate orange. Finishes semi dry. Trace of banana and bubblegum ester. Mild minerals and a little dark chocolate. Harmless fun!

Clear dark brown red colour with a small to average, frothy - fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white to beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, chocolate, cacao, light alcohol. Flavour is light heavy sweet with a long duration, chocolate, fruity - riped something ! maybe it is yeast, medium dry. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours an opaque dark garnet brown with a thin light tan head that quickly disappears. Aroma is Hershey’s chocolate syrup as well as a vinous character. Taste is sweet chocolate covered raisins and buttery caramel. Some Belgian ale notes and alcohol warmth in the background. Pretty damned decent!
