Bottle shared by Derek. Pours a deep black with purple and crimson highlights and a thin beige head. Aromas of slightly alkaline cocoa powder. Soft cocoa and chocolate. Great aromas. Tastes like hot chocolate, warm cocoa powder, smooth and sweet. Very nice. A touch of warmth on the finish, spicy with a bit of yeast and more cocoa.

Bottle thanks to a generous BA, shared with others. Poured a slightly hazy dark brown with a brown head that dissipated to the edges. Aroma was full of chocolates with a particular note of sweet bakers chocolate coming through as well as some milk chocolate. Flavor was similarly full of chocolate that started with bakers chocolate but ended with sweet milk chocolate. Very thick on the tongue.

bomber thanks to thebeersommelier. pours black with a 1/4" tan bubbly head. lovely nose with the perfect amount of chocolate, layered with tiramisu, dark fruits and vanilla. medium body with a smooth character throughout. again, the perfect blend of chocolate and dark fruit with light Belgian yeast notes. vanilla, light coffee and cream come forward with the alcohol well hidden. sweet sugary finish with milk chocolate and candy covered dark fruits. excellent!

pours a dark brown that’s a bit watery, light tan head, ok ring... the aroma is outstanding, smells like a trappist quad mixed with Dr. Pepper and chocolate, additional notes of dark fruits, unique twist on a quad... the taste is not as successful, comes across a bit fake, summed up simply as chocolate soda, a little too carbonated, but drinkable incredibly so for something that is 10.5%, mostly chocolate... not up to the hype but very solid

(sampled at Dak’s Memorial Day tasting. I think Dak broke this open!). Pour dark brown with a tan head. Aroma is all milk chocolate . The flavor follows suit with sweet chocolate and some tootsie roll. Medium bodied with a slick texture. Slightly bitter finish, but balanced. Pretty nice beer with nice chocolate flavor, but the hype machine is in full tilt for this one.
